I love those , "im doing a trade because Im not a flipper" reasons, but they want double the worth in trade or cash to top it. I cant remember what the SHockwave cost, but just come out and say the truth. I think my item is priceless , lets see how much you really want this,

Okay lets, go back and clarify, because its all posts here are now going to have to come with disclosure.

I didnt not mean specifically that person, it was " generic" statement loosly based on other trades in the past. SHeesh:) Im sorry from the bottom of my heart, If that person trading his Shockwave is offended than I will personally apologize to them.

Pssst, there is someone looking to trade their Shockwave for an ELA.....

He want cash with the trade of a ELA.. Wonder how much?

My opinion is that even though the Shockwave is more rare, it is about an even trade as I feel the ELA is the Superior design, its more versatile plus 100% mechanical...... ELA + $100 tops....... ELA's are also a rare breed folks, don't get screwed on this deal......

I look at it a bit differently.. ELA's are easier to get than a Shockwave..

About once a week an ELA pops up in the classifieds but how often do you see a Shockwave? Rarley, if ever..

Heck, an ELA was recently traded for a ProVari Mini..

I don't know how much cash on top the seller want's but I'd guess anything up to about $200 would be reasonable..

My :2c:

Glad I could give you all something to talk about for a couple days, lol. Whatever extra cheese I got on top will go right back to Super T anyways, Simplicity Strata very soon hopefully. If I just wanted to flip my baby, she woulda went on an auction site since they go upwards to 1k+. No apologies needed anavidfan, I put off listing it for almost a month out of fear of being burned at the stake here. Not as bad as was expected so far.

Egg-zach-wee!

I knew you were not a flipper.. However, getting labeled as one is pretty powerful / dangerous in the e-cig world as once such a label has been gained people won't sell to you or buy from you..

Rock on man, glad you and someone scored what you were after!

$200 + ELA for a Shockwave....That would work if you really wanted a Shockwave....I have owned them both so I still stand my ground..ELA is a superior design/ build over the Shockwave..........:2c:

I have owned neither so won't argue with your logic since you have had both. :)

Sometimes people go wild and crazy because a mod (the shockwave in this instance) is impossible to get 2nd hand. Shockwaves rarely come up for trade while the ELA is a weekly thing in the classifieds..

A little off the mark but an example is a previous one I used. A Titanium Simplicity was traded for Wizard Evolved, a Mister V3, a Senio Dripper and a Hellfire Dripper..

The guy wanting the Ti threw everything but the farm into the trade..

I *think* the person who scored the Shockwave has more than one ELA so they will have have another (or 2) and a Shockwave now to add to their collection.

If I only had one ELA I don't think I would have made the trade either but if I had 2 or 3 then I think I would have..

These hobby markets are interesting from an economic perspective. They are like mini representations of primitive economies. Barter systems are contingent apon the scarcity of items. All capitalist economies are for that matter. To that extent is why flippers and people trying to get over on trades doesnt bother me. The value of an item has to be subjective or capitalism wouldnt exist. The value/cost of any item is equal to exactly what someone is willing to pay. Just some thoughts.
