what's the voltage drop for the precise ela?

Way too early to tell. If Dave's P+ series is any sign of what ELA is gonna bring us you are looking at about .2 to .3 drop underload with a standard 1.5ohms HH.357.

Last time I checked my P+18650 underload last month, I was getting 4.02 to 3.98volts with a freshly charged AW IMR 18650 at 4.18v. That's coming from a PV with original contact points (rhodium) being over 1 year old.

That is pretty damn good performance, excellent.

Any clue how that compares to other mech mods out there? The SB for example? I did a quick search and couldn't find anything.

This video will give you the voltage drop of a few popular models:

He also did the Poldiac, which measured 3.96V under load, which is really good.

I'm always a bit of a skeptic when i see videos like the above as I don't trust any findings unless i've done them myself under controlled conditions. Regardless, one thing to keep in mind though with the above tests is re-measure those mods after a few days or a week of no cleaning when tarnishing/oxidation takes place on the silver or brass contacts. They won't measure the same after several days of no cleaning and will begin to mis-fire.

The ELA, with its Rhodium Plated contacts, will have little to do drop after that same time. Consistency and minimum maintenance is one of the big advantages of the ELA and PrecisePlus line.

ELA UPDATE: 03/06. We finished up the top cap Center posts this afternoon and will send them out to be Rhodium Plated tomorrow. We have started on the bottom posts too and hope to have those finished up and sent out by Friday. We will then begin machining the telescoping extension tubes of the ELA.

Just put in my order for a polished ELA with extra brass rings and a kick tube, no more F5ing elsewhere. After reading this entire thread and exploring all the options, the reputation of Super T won me over. Also the prospect of other goodies made by Super T to put on it is a bonus. I'm patiently looking forward to receiving my new mod!

What is the diameter where the atty will sit? The pictures look machine finished. I'm holding off until I can understand more about the finishes.

Device top will be 24mm, the finish you see in the pictures is 400 grit polished. It isn't mirror polished which is why it looks like it might have the record scratchy machine finish to it. You can also get satin/media blasted finish which seem to be a popular and durable choice.

Edit: Also the devices have a lifetime refinishing guarantee on them! I don't know of any other manufacturer that offers that.

The extension tube you see in the pictures isn't accurate as that one is a prototype aluminum tube. The production model will have a SS tube and it won't be that sparkly or light colored.

On another note: Just totally ordered some HH.357's and some AERO 306's to use on the ELA! I'm ready for some old school dripping!

Haven't really dripped in years... gonna be a "blast" from the past. Ha

Edit: Also a couple days ago I wanted to buy a brass Velocity tip but my card at the time had been the target of fraud somehow and was waiting on a new one... So I went on there today to order one but it wasn't on the site anymore, but I went ahead and ordered 3 other tips that I liked... when I went to the cart the Brass velocity was still in it! Yaaay! I hope they actually still have some... lol

I just picked up some LR atties including an Aero 306 and SS drip tip for my P10. I may trim down the tip so it sits better on the P10.

Ha! I got the same drip tip!

How are you liking the Aero? I know the rep of the HH but haven't heard much about the aeros.

I like all the Cisco spec'd atties pretty well. I still haven't had anything with the longevity and performance of the 357s though. I really just wanted a 306 for the P10 because they seem more pocket-friendly. I was going to put an IKV 510 cannon on it but the ones I have are high resistance :-(

Absolutely beautiful, KS ! I've been wanting a P10 for a LONG time. Thanks for the pic.

Nic

Thanks!
I had been thinking about getting one and just happened to luck into getting one from one of our supercool members here. I think it's one of the older ones but I'm really liking it.

Yeah I wouldn't expect any atty to last as long as a 357. Grimm's lasted him almost a year! Probably woulda lasted longer if he hadn't thrown it away after dropping it in the toilet... lol
