I thought maybe he was talking about a carton. A carton runs about $40 bucks where I am (not sure the exact number, as it's been a long time since I've bought any).

Me neither....and since I only buy high end stuff or hard to get items I have always been able to get my money back plus..... I have sold all the things I don't use and am down to 1 Provari and 3 SuperT mods...... Hands down favorite is my ELA
It's pretty sad that I'd consider that to be cheap
I think when I switched to vaping (almost 3 years ago now) my Camels were around $54 a carton . . . it's all still quite a lot compared to the $10 they were when I started smoking. I certainly don't regret the money I spend on vaping, though. At the current price of smokes I'm still saving money, even with my frequent "new toy" tendencies, though my mod buying sprees have slowed down a bit ;-)

I flash back to the early 80's when I was in the military and stationed in Germany.. If I remember correctly we had a ration card for cigarettes and a few other items. I think you could get 4 cartons of smokes a month from the base commissary and a carton was like a whopping $4..
Last I knew a carton of brand name smokes here in California was like $55 or something like that..

what setup u runnin under the hood.. what kind of wire and wick u use?
Did a 3/4 wrap of 32g kanthal with 3ea 2mm strands of silica. Came out to 1.5ish ohms..

it looks super cool smaller.. more compact.. have u tried 2mm eko? holds up well and small enough to work with..
I've used ekowool before and I honestly didn't notice that big of a difference in the vape to justify it's cost..
Also it's bigger than the specs so 2mm ekowool might actually be 2.5mm of silica (if that made sense)
The goal with the Taifun is to fill the juice slots. It's a fine line of using the right amount to keep it from flooding and / or from getting dry hits. 3 strands of 2mm silica works great! No flooding and no dry hits. I don't know for sure but I'd think 3 strands of 2mm ekowool would be to much and / or 2 strands of 2mm ekowool would not be enough..
I might order some up just to try and see..

If you enjoy tinkering and a clean healthier vape here is a month old 1/16 micro coil with new Lily Sugar n Cream cotton threaded .
Lastly, I lay 2 floating strands of cotton on top outside the coil as to avoid gurgle noises.
