I inquired about these solid design caps from David a couple of days back. Here is why.

1) The current two-piece design top cap is designed to work with the adjustable draw system. However, this system must have a standard atomizer width to be useful. I don't ever use cartos or standard atomizers so therefore the adjustable draw is not useful for me.

Note: The current two-piece design does allow for adequate airflow for devices that draws air from the 510 connection. This is accomplished by having the center of the top cap slightly raised to allow airflow underneath.

2) Currently, when I want to remove my top cap for adjustments I often find that the decorative ring on the top unscrews first. I then have to grab the top cap by the exposed threads in order to remove it from the mod. A one piece top cap eliminates this issue making for quicker easier adjustments to the 510 center pin.

3) Lastly, the simplified design might help keep costs down for future ELA runs by eliminating the adjustable draw feature for those that will not or do not plan on using it.

Do you need it? Well, that's a question only you can answer!

Also, the solid top cap should allow a truly flush fit with RBA, etc. though the gap is very small with the current design.

Exactly what I was thinking. Thanks for the confirmation!

Well if the current cap is working with your Ody's, you probably don't need one :)

Thanks for the your opinion, you talked me out of it. Its not really needed and wont even be visible as my Odys and Kayfun cover it up. Right now I have to save up for bits and pieces for Ody and Penelope. You never know when these will be produced again.

Oh, man, all kinds of new toys  For my needs, though, I'm fine with the top cap I have on my ELA. I'm tempted to collect everything (kinda like Pokemon, gotta catch 'em all!), but I'm really trying to break myself of that habit. The Ti 18500 on the other hand is VERY tempting . . . sadly, I must resist as I really don't NEED it. I love ELA which can already accomplish 18500 size and equally love my Ti 350 (both of which accompanied me to my last vape meet, BTW) and will keep the family as-is for the moment

When the Strata drops for Simplicity, I will definitely be snagging one of those, though ;-)

dammit....just couldn't resist:facepalm:. Placed an order for the Titanium Simplicity w/mag cap & brass lock ring, mag cap for Ela (that I still have to wait for) simplicity 14500 UHD spring, & shorty engraved tip. Can't wait to get this order:D I already love my 14500 Simplicity; the Titanium will make a nice addition to the Super-T family:p

Excellent! The titanium 18500 will really show you what Super-T is all about. Not resisting is the only way to get one. :) Nothing against the 14500, but the top line is magnificent. I need to pass on the 18500; it would be an unnecessary duplication (priorities have changed slightly).
Have you had a chance yet to see a P+?

I posted this in the Ti Simplicity thread, but I don't think it gets as much traffic as this one, so I'll post it here.

I really want a Simplicity. If money was no object, I'd be all over this. I'm having a hard time convincing myself not to wait on finding a ss simplicity at that price though. Anyone want to try and convince me otherwise?

If I was Average Joe, I would wait for a SS Simplicity. The Titanium and SS are essentially the same functionally, the difference being the titanium is titanium and posesses the unbelievable exquisite perfect obsessive finish and prep work done on it. If you can live without seeing that, the SS is an outstanding value.

Can you elaborate on the obsessive finish and prep work done on it? Have a close up pic?

I suppose I could, but it would be useless.

Edit: Suppose you dumped $400.00 on a Simplicity 18350 Ti.
While you wait for it to arrive you really have a severe problem, wondering how you could be such an idiot for spending that much on a little metal tube.
Then you get it and say "Oh".

This is a photo I had laying around of the Ti...

And nevermind the $10 atty on the $400 mod! :)
