??? The ELA is able to run whatever you throw at it, I think your friend is mistaken. I've run sub ohm quad coils on it with no issues (not typical for me, I just like to play around with new builds sometimes)

Typically, if your button is getting hot then you have a short somewhere. Either it's an issue with your build on your rba or perhaps you've got the ELA center pin adjusted too tight against your atty. If the latter, just back off your center pin and screw it back in until it just makes contact and see if that fixes you. I know the hot button subject has come up a few times, though personally I've never experienced it so really can't offer any other suggestions than those two

I get hot button, if I run .5ish ohms. So, I run .6ish ohms. :)

Interesting. I've never ventured under 0.7, myself, so perhaps it is a result of super low ohms? The only hot button issues I've had were back in my 6V days (a couple years ago) . . . some certain mods didn't do so well with <2 ohms at that voltage and would get hot buttons sometimes. Had to keep all my contacts super clean to mitigate it

I've run micro ohm octa-coils regulated by a bipolar flux capacitor with no issues (typical for me, I'm a whack job)

With a username like that I'd expect no less  I'm still trying to get permission to vape off the CERN supercollider . . . too much red tape to wade through, I'll stick to my ELA

Best estimate is sometime between spring and late fall of 2014. Personally, I'd also expect a price increase. The ELA was under priced when it was released. It's worth the wait if you order one. In this internet on demand, drive up fast food, over night gotta have it now world its a good thing to have to wait for.

thanks for the quick response and help!

If you recall, I got Obama involved to expedite a Cucco order, I'll make a few calls to get you some CERN supercollider time.

Just ordered a "gap filler" ... the polished tungsten looks good, no seams, and will add a little bling I think. I'll post some pics if it works out.

ELA 18650 Mode
Here is the result, straight out of the pouch with no sanding/fitting necessary. Just a tiny bit loose over the batt tube but the accent rings on either side lock it up nicely. Absolutely no gap on the batt tube, right on the hairy edge of being too wide @ 3mm but I can still lock 'er up! To the naked eye the ring is just a tad brighter than the polished finish, very slight bling addition if the light is right - the pics kind of show this.

Awesome stuff! Where did you get the ring and what size?

Got it at Overstock Jeweler Unisex Mens Polished Tungsten Flat 3mm Wedding Band Ring
Just so you know it's tungsten versus SS, all the SS rings I looked at were roundish on the outside and had a seam on the inside so probably stamped, those were $5. These are nicer with flat outside and no seam, just better quality ($15).

Size: 2mm thick x 3mm wide x size 12 ring size.
