I'd like to see under the hood of that narwhal. It's another genesis?

I have a hard time seeing what makes one genesis different from another. At least with silica atties there are some with tanks, some for dripping; some use res-wire, some not; some are screwless, some use screws; some have a side hole, some bottom; some with adjustable juice flow, some with adjustable air.... And the range of variation is vast. A Spheroid is drastically different from a Kayfun; a Penelope, from a Prometey; an Immortalizer from a Gryphon.

But when I look at all the models of geneses, it's like looking at a Taco Bell menu. It doesn't really matter what you order. It's all the same thing, just in slightly different permutations.

What makes your narwhal better than, say, the RSM Rocket, Z-atty, Hellfire, etc., other than varying amounts of exclusivity and snob appeal? Aren't they all just bottom tank, upper firing chamber, wick of choice going from bottom to top, air hole on the side lined up with the coil, and someone's logo on the side? I'm genuinely curious.

Narwhal? Nahual. :)

It's a tiny atty with a even tinyer reduced chamber in the top cap.
Nothing snobbish about it, but it's hard to get, as it's only sold through one forum, and the maker only sells to active members, and there's not that many of them around yet.

It's expertly machined and provides as killer combo of taste, vapor and throat hit. Also it's got a unique center post that handles both the positive and negative ends of your coil. Add to that if you set it up right, you can leave the fill plug in and it becomes almost leak-free.

Under the hood:

Sure it's another genesis, but a damn good one!

Yeah that thing looks great!

Only thing I'd do to solidify the leak-free-ness is toss in a silica core inside that mesh. DONE!

EDIT: Only thing I don't like is the single o-ring to attach the topcap. I feel if the modder goes this route, make it at least two o-rings. Better yet, a screw top cap.

With Gennies, I find its the chamber that makes the most difference in terms of flavor. Generally, the smaller the better.

He keeps good company too.
I want a narwhal though. Fix me up.

Hehe, the recipe is:

Sign on at Vapepit.
Set an avatar.
Make an intro thread
Contribute in the various threads/forums, aka get to know people.
Then you can get in on a urq list. :)

One post wonders and people that sign in for just getting on lists gets booted pretty much daily there.

Quite an unique forum, but I love it there.

Guys, this thing is rock solid even with the single o-ring, no need for two or screw-on at all. Not even a hint of wiggle. Dead solid.

Urq, the guy who makes this atty knows how to design and make a great atty.

Is it drop proof like a KF :)

I was wrong again,as usual.Rolls Royce is owned by BMW,not VW,the mechanicals are still built in germany and finished by the brits.*
That said,if any of you rich super T folks want to give me a Rolls Royce phantom or a Bentley continental GT or even a tesla,I wouldn't be offended.
ELA=Military HMMV for ruggedness and ferarri for performance.

* I've been wrong so many times today, that's probly wrong too.

YES! Seriously, how hard is that? Such a simple thing most atty modders miss. I don't want o-ring holding my atty on. I don't even like them holding my drip tips on but finding an atty with a screw on top & drip tip is difficult.

This is why I still love the simple design of the DID.

It is all about the chamber. I have a Stratus 22 that i forked over $150+ for and it's good, but my $20 dollar AGA-s blows it away with flavor and vapor because it's tiny. If the top cap of the AGA-s was much more secure than it is, i'd have like ten of them. But alas, the cap renders it a stay at home on a level surface kind of ordeal.

Indeed, that's why atties like Kayfun and Ithaka have such great flavor as well, with the tiny chamber around the wick/coil.
Hey I bought a "reduced chamber" cap for my good old Aga T2, and it made it much more enjoyable. :)
