I don't think I need 5 of them but ordered the 5-pack in case later down the road when they are out of stock, someone needs one and I can hook them up with one..

Q though... Do they wear out?

They might eventually, since they do rub against the stainless on the body, but I wouldn't expect it to happen any time soon. I think some folks have had issues with the ring getting deformed in the process of trying to remove/clean it. If it gets deformed, it can be tricky to get it back into shape to work properly. I have found that it does help quite a bit to remove the ring and clean it regularly. If I don't clean mine every couple of weeks, it will start to lose some grip. Once cleaned, it's been as good as new, so far. I've had my ELA since May and, after a good cleaning, the ring works just as it did when I first got it.

Hmmmm I have never cleaned mine in the 6+ months I have owned my ELA....I was always afraid to take it off.....Mine still has plenty of grip, I will wait until I get some spares to take if off..........

David before I place my order for the rings do you have any Felt PV Carry Pouch - Black available? I love those things to carry my mods in

Until I get my backup ELAs, I am not taking anything apart! With my on/off shaky hand issues? No way! I would be a basket case without my ELA! :)

Yep, I grabbed a fiver, too, thanks for the heads up. Even if I don't wind up needing them anytime soon I still like to have spares for parts that are prone to wear.

Yep, ended up doing the same here. Just for the record though, I had absolutely no problems whatsoever with the original ring. Been rocking for over six months with the same one.

PS- Hell, as far as I'm concerned I just bought some extra rings due to the fact that I pretty much buy anything from SuperT. Dave could probably put couple of cigarette butts in an old coffee can with a Super-T label on it, and I would be on the line for pre-order . I know. Disturbing indeed.

I'm not sure when I became obsessed with shiny but here it is. Super-T polished has an ever so slight brushed finish to it so it's resistant to fingerprints. Pretty excited about this mod!
