Personally I would rather see a knurled bottom accent ring. But us guys from the land down under are strange so I guess I would be the only one that would like that..
Not strange at all my friend, I appreciate objective thought process.
Some liked the looks off a flat button like myself and some didn't.
We all have our own style and personalities in in the growing world of vaping. I appreciate being part of open minded thinkers as it encourages ideas and allows us to know each other a bit better. As I have mentioned the majority of us are here for camaraderie of the human spirit. This is not the place to tell each other, "i don't think...no you can't or that is a bad idea. I got that enough in the Marine Corps and it bottlenecks free thought and innovation. :) God I ramble.

Point is, thanks for not being negative.

I think your preference for a matching lock ring to the accent ring is problematic. The accent ring is smooth with its' circumferential grooves not providing a good grip for rotation. In short, change in form would impact function in this case. For me the look of the knurled locking ring is awesome and it no doubt provides a great grip to lock and unlock the telescoping tube (primary function). Others have also commented on how great the knurled ring looks. I'm sure David has some "critical mass" of interest he needs to see before he tools up and I don't think the votes will be there. May not have enough interest for the slant caps either but I would jump on that one if offered. Remember David's pole on the Flat Bottom Button? - interest went through the roof and whallah! Just my 2 cents ...

I beg to differ on your thinking, while I also appreciate your input on the matter.

Our thought on a different style lock ring is no different than screwing the top cap on various mods, using mods with different tubes for battery size change, or messing with an rba (kayfun, etc). You only need to tighten it down so much.

just my :2c:

I also would like to have everyone get their ELAs before we get more "accessories" I also think that having replacement parts is also a priority once they all get to their homes. Accent rings available in sets or single pieces, extension tubes, top and bottom contacts also a must. I like to think that I will have these devices I have for the rest of my life and would like to have parts that will wear for the future.

Most of all I hope that all Super T customers continue to have the great service that earned Super T all of its fame.

Just my 2 cents.....

I like the look of the knurled locking ring. However, recently, I have been using 18650 batteries. Previously, I was using 18490's. In the 18650 mode, I am holding the ELA a little different. I have noticed, I am getting a calluse on my thumb. Hmm.. Not very lady like. Guess I should address that, in case I decide to do something crazy like dating or something. :)

So Cali
Those are the ELA super t flat bottom button housings

I see:
Kick 2
Long telescopic tube
2x beauty rings or just an accent ring kit?
Satburn flat bottom button
Flower and mag solid caps
2x super t flat bottom buttons
O-rings

Wonder where the compression bands are?....

Compression bands are in there. Stupid iPhone. Only thing missing are ela strata and brass tubes which I haven't really seen:

1x 5 pack of compression rings
1x satburn button ss/brass
1x flat bottom polished
1x flat bottom satin
1x satin mag top cap
1x polished flower top cap
1x18650 kick ext tube
1x polished accent rings
1x ela with brass accesnts. Waiting
1x ela strata preordered

1x wishing for another round of brass tubeS
1x wishing for brass "p" firing button.

Lucky my microstick coming in this week. Will keep me occupied for another month till my beloved ela shows up in another month!

Even then I kind of told myself I would t use it till I get the strata..doubt that's going to happen unless strata shows up with ela.

I also appreciate your taking the time to respond to my post. My intention here is not to get in defensive mode or cause conflict. It is just an idea such as the flat tops, flat switches, and other accessories were. Simple.
David is indeed a busy man but, critical mass? I do know he is incredibly busy. Seems he offered the tops, switches and now tips in the middle of a couple runs as he had time. I also am not asking or demanding. I was looking for comment from the man himself.

Personally, many feel it is how builders gauge customers, innovate, and move forward in design factor. Like the others, a simple whom might be interested post.
David is obviously a master in his work and it shows. You also mention it would affect function and problematic. Problematic? If that is the case, that is for David to state, not others. I would say with his obvious skill set that would be tough to believe there isnt much he can't do.

My intention was not for you to take my idea personally or post reason not to do it. I don't think it needs to be a permanent change just an accessory. I Have heard you, you love the knurling. Got it.
Though, I saw the opposite as you, the last time this was brought up many thought it was an interesting and welcomed the option.I am glad you like the knurled ring. I like it as well, just not as much as you apparently.

As for the button and the interest going through the roof, yep it did. I bought one of those as well. But we also saw many that didn't buy one and posted objectively with no recourse.

Having much exp owning only high end devices, I realize that I am just one guy who appreciates hard working builders and high quality devices. Hence, why I am here and have spent the money I have on the ELA, Ti Simpliciy, Top cap, Button, and Strata in the last three weeks. I feel any one of us can freely post with a bit of consideration and at least be respected for a different perspective as we all differ. Opinions, objectiveness and perspective is needed to move forward, learn about and it brings us together in discussion and teaches all.

Having a few friends here from other forums and threads and know, that I am respectful of others and appreciate objective thought. Your post was a bit to, "No it won't work" and one sided for my taste.

If David says no, that is one thing and we move on and deal with it - he's the Man. Again, if his work wasn't appreciated, respected and quality driven, very few of us including me would be here.
Just my 27 cents. :)

I would never be negative towards a naked hitchhiker

Funny story behind that... Middle Eastern story :)

I don't know if those caps are just mock ups or not, but regardless, we could do up slant caps that slant down to popular RBA/RDA sizes if anyone is interested? Let us know!

Yes, please! Would love slant caps for 16, 20, and 22. I would also love a smooth lock ring. Maybe could have widely spaced vertical "notches" to maintain the grip. I think 5 of them would be about right. :D
Something like this image.jpg
And, I'm still in for non-locking brass buttons! Only thing I can figure is most people must have missed that. ;)
So, for all those who did, wouldn't you like one of these

That locking ring would work, gives your fingers little notches to grip.

Some peeps are taking my 2 cents way too seriously. I just pointed out that there is a reason for the knurled finish on the locking ring.

To propose that someone can't say "I don't think" in an open forum is a little over the top, our psyches shouldn't be so fragile that such a benign statement would cause any consternation.

I will always give a "I don't think" input if that's how I feel, and will always explain why. If that bothers some of you, then there is the Ignore List you can put me on and my posts will not show up when you read the thread.

I will always call 'em as I see 'em.
