Good question! I just tried it and it worked too. Generally at Super-T it means it's available.
Cucco did you ever try it out?I guess I need to try mine. I have not tried any of them yet.![]()
Since I only ordered a Strata for my current Satin ELA maybe I should just order a Solid Top Cap for the newer Polished ELA that is still pending shipping... Flower Power or Mag WheelThe problem is I dont' have any rhodium plated center posts to spare. I have the stainless steel adjustable holder for the center post(which appears to be the culprit, I'm guessing on these older ela's, the thread major diameter was a bit bigger on them), but I would need your old post to press out and press in. For those who ordered the caps for their newer ELA(this seems confined to the earlier first batch ELA's) you shouldn't experience a problem.![]()
I think if you try to complete the check out or change to brass it will tell you they are out of stock. It's been that way for a while now. I'd like another set of each as well.
I've never seen the engraved tips available in anything but polished, never even seen the option for satin show up. Have one of each in polished ordered. I'd like to have one of those in satin as well.
I didnt think there were engraved in satin , but in Vaptamists great macro shots of his satin ELA on previous page, he has one. I hope they make them in satin again.

I tried this too. Checkout will not complete![]()
We've narrowed the problem down to the center posts, evidently, some of these older center posts are tighter for some reason in these new caps. All the center posts we have in stock now screw in no problem, it's people with older ELA's that are having the problem so it appears. If you send us the caps and center posts, we'll make them fit for you, even if we have to replace your screw in center post holder. I know it's a pain, but there is no other solution. I can tell you the caps are machined to the exact same specs (I double checked), so its not the caps themselves.
If you are having this problem, send your cap and screw in center post to:
Super T
Box 331
Sauk Rapids, MN 56379 We'll put a rush on them and get them right back out to you.
Out of curiosity, I decided to see if my center pins were interchangeable and they are not. The center pin that came with my satin fits on the polished but the one that came with my polished does not screw in to my satin top cap.
Somehow the threading on my original ELA is different to the threading on the newer satin. I can not inter change the outer accent top cap cover on them. On the top caps and covers I can see a difference in the threading. I can visually see that there are more threads on my original ELA than my second one. That must be affecting how the center pin screws in. There must also be some differences in the threads on the center pins that I can not visually see.
I worry that if someday I want or need a new center pin for my original one that it may not fit. I also worry for those who got the new top cap. If they modify the center pin to work with the new top cap will it work with their original top cap and cover.
Does anyone know how often Dave stock in accents? I need to get SS. Thanks
Hey guys, is this the right place to ask troubleshooting questions? I have the flat bottom on my ELA. Every now and then it gets hot. My cousins said he even saw little sparks right now after i took a hit. I made sure i dont have any shorts on my build. Im running a Dual Micro coil patriot. Any info is appreciated. Thank you!
Also with the flat bottom, the button gets stuck on firing when i release every so often. HELP PLEASE!
