Precise ELA Telescoping Mod by Super-T!

The way I understood it is that the center post itself was the suspect part and any adjustments would be made to that, if necessary.
I was probably the first to send mine in and I haven't heard back. But I also requested more work be done as well, so I'm just hanging tight.

I sent an email about the fitment between old and new ELAs. Still not sure if I need to send back my original top cap along with the center pin and new top caps. I'm just going send them all back and hope for the best. Will be without an ELA for a while I guess.
Here's the response I received:
"Yes, they should be able to switch the parts between your older and your new ELA. Send back the center post assembly and we will get it fixed for you."
That makes me just a little nervous "they should be able to switch the parts between your older and your new ELA. "…If he's going to adjust the center post assembly to fit the new solid top cap wouldn't it affect the fit on the original top cap? At least you received a response. I wasn't sure if I should send the center post and old/new caps back together or just my center post.I like the new Solid Top Cap but I keep asking myself, if it's worth the wait/shipping/time/worry……..

I'm going to send it back and let the master fix it. I haven't been putting my Precise's through their paces recently so they'll have to fill the void while my ELA center post is on leave..Super T's customer service is usually slow to respond, very busy over there these days……

I am just about at the 7 month mark....order #16468............. I received my first ELA in about 4 1/2 months, not sure why the second one is taking longer???
Hey guys. I'm in need of an upper accent ring. My good friend bought an ela for more than retail and the guy didn't mention he had lost the original one...

A good place to post something like this would be the want to buy section of the classifieds.
Ok I feel that. I just thought that there are very few people that would look at the classies for selling an accent ring. I thought I may have better luck here.

Nope, I was fortunate enough to be helped by vaptamist with the accent ring. It's currently sitting on my ELA
My orders:
ELA#1 4/10/2013 - 9/27/2013 = 170 days
ELA#2 6/18/2013 - 1/27/2014 = 223 days
ELA#3 7/14/2013 - Today = 212 days so far
This makes me less excited for my ELA especially after someone pointed out on the Strata thread that the 2 weeks is a bit over due much like the Ti Simplicity is now. I was excited for all of them.

I am still as excited about getting my third ELA, as I was about getting my second.
Strata .. not so much.
My biggest problem is payment up front. I stopped joining lists that had that requirement last year. AFIAC, consumers should only pay full price if a product is ready to ship. Even though quality takes time, most other industries that take on custom work only require a deposit. Keeping in mind, we aren't talking thousands of dollars (I'm sitting at around 800 sent to SuperT in the last month) that would be a huge impact in an investment account, but IMO it still stinks to have no growth on that dollar. Unless said purchaser is a flipper, in which case they are an a$$hole, but likely doing better than investing in a TFSA or whatever.
Regarding excitement, I have to be very careful thinking about this for too long, as I get pissy when I start counting days late (remember my 18350 Ti, anyone?, lol). Thankfully I have a decent collection and have enough to play with at any given time to keep SuperT off my mind. But when I do finally get tracking, it's better than Christmas. No lie.
I plan on supporting Super T for as long as they put out gorgeous and functional stuff, but I sure wish they could get realistic with time projections or better yet, increase production.
My 2c.

Oh yea, we ordered TIs.
Well, my two new top caps, original center pin and original top cap are all packaged up and ready to go back to Super T for re-fitting. I will miss using my ELA!
