Machining out one side of the ELA top cap yesterday evening. Coolant and parts catcher turned off for the video. Sound at about 1:00 minute is an attempt to blow off chips with the air gun.

I don't know what to order. Is there any pictures of the ELA with the brass accents? Comparisons?

Wow! My favorite part was where the second pass was made to cut the cross slot. The machine is smarter than I would have been. I'd have moved my arm back to the original position, instead the machine rotated the part and came back. Efficiency.
So now the part is cut off and the back needs machining. I assume that at this point each one needs to be loaded by hand or is there some automated way to do that too?

There is a ghost in the machine!!! 4:23 Orb of light moves intelligently under the tooling towards, the back, then up over the tooling and back out. Look for yourself!
No, we usually prove out the programs in aluminum or brass, much more forgiving when mistakes are made. Still have broken a few tools, but hey, it's for a good cause!
Yes, now that back gets machined, they get flipped around and put in a custom machined collet that holds them.
This part has two caps that go on it, one for tanks and atomizers and one for the adjustable draw with 510 atomizers. Both are included with your ELA purchase.

I'm going cartotanks for out and about, but some nice fat genny would look cool as well, as it's rather wide on top .

I have the Terminator-C,A8 Gene, and Hornet waiting to go atop my new ELA upon it's arrival.
Thanks Riverboat. That looks badass. I think you made up my mind. Now I guess I'll just have to wait 6-8 weeks to see it in person.
Another quick and possibly dumb question. Can the ELA sit upright without firing??
Got my order in. Polished with brass accents. Ordered an extra set of accent rings to change it up every once in awhile. I'm sure this has been mentioned, but do we have a choice of satin/polish for the stainless steel accent rings? I included a note in my order that I'd like them to be satin if possible.
That's the correct way to do it. They are polished by default so you need to drop a note if you want them to be in satin
It can without firing, but it's not stable with the tapered bottom.
O.k. so i did not know this,so i have already ordered my ELA and selected the polished,or SS whatever the choice was for the accents,i did not want brass.Anyway,i did not know they came in satin too,i ordered my ELA in satin so how would i now get the accents in satin,instead of the SS/polished that i selected????
