Assuming plating provides no hiccups, by the time those plated parts get back to the shop, I assume all parts will be done. That leaves prep, assembly, finishing and lastly... shipping! I will take a stab in the dark and guess that shipping would start the second week of April. Hopefully I'm wrong and its sooner! :)

This thread is getting a bit neglected because of all the Shockwave action. This last few days, knowing our ELAs are so close to shipping is getting me even more anxious. Only other thing Im waiting on is the mouthpiece for drip tips from GGs new Ithaka atty. I also ordered the new telescoping tank for the Killer atomizer. I sold a couple Kir Fanis tanks, and Im getting sellers remorse for the Prive I sold:(

I just got a DBase tank in the mail, and it is just a carto tank. you still have to take off thw bottom cap to fill. It is a very nice tank but no filler hole. You should have kept the Prive. It is the most beautiful carto tank made, after the Prive Special. I love of them and will keep them even if I never use a carto again. Lucky that the Killer came along. I am waiting for the Achilies. I hope that it is up to all of the hype.

Here, Dark. I found it : About 21mm at the telescoping section, about 22mm at the main body grip indent section and about 24mm at its widest on both ends.

Nic

Hi Nic,
Thanks for the info. Can you tell me where you found it? I'm a bit confused with the measurements you give with.
21 mm at the telescope section and 24 mm max at both ends.
I placed my pre order for the ela yesterday, but still haven't found the rba that i want to purchase for it. I would like a rba that fits perfectly on it in long mode (which is what i think you call a hybrid look...?).
If i'd take a kayfun v3.1 es which is 22mm at the base, i guess this wouldn't be the case with the measurements you give, ie 21mm or 24?

Farewell, to you, Poseidon. Its too bad that it had to get so dramatic. Something simple like stating ones concerns, getting what they wanted out of it, and then to keep "twisting" the blade to get a point made never seems to surprise me. It always seems like they had an alternative reason for the unnecessary drama....

I believe Poseidon more urgently wanted his point of view understood and accepted than he wanted a refund. He was trying to express his belief that, when a vendor exceeds estimated shipping time for a product, it is the responsibility of that vendor to push updates to the customers (ostensibly with emailed status updates). When no one acknowledged the brilliance of his insight, he took his toys and went home. Either that or he was ...... off that he was unable to remake the world into his own image.

He's got the wrong perspective on pre-orders.

The trick is to pre-order, then consider the money spent and gone. Forget that you ordered. Put it out of your mind. In a few months, you'll be pleasantly surprised with an amazing present in your mailbox.

Having said that, dibs on Poseidon's spot!

I keep pimping my Chi because my ELA isn't here.....this is getting expensive, haha.

What atty's is everyone going to run on their ELA's? I was going to use my Ti bliSS, possibly the Nimbus too.

I CANT WAIT!!!!!

In 18650 mode I'm gonna use the new Kayfun and in 18350 mode I'm gonna use a small dripping atomizer called Dream + a shorty drip tip. Great for using out and about

Dak, the 24mm OD is the top cap measurement and, probably, the base body. The telescope section (tube) should be set at 21mm. I'm not gonna lie, it's gonna be extremely hard for you to find a tank or atty that will hold a seamless look at 24mm. You gonna be off by 1mm to 2mm with current genesis or regular atomizer tanks. Particularly, I don't care. I was never picky.

The measurements were a quote from Dave's past post, in which, right now, I'm having a hard time finding

This is my own opinion, but I think that the drive to make your mod ( not yours specific, but yours in general) look like a hybrid is over blown. Don't get me wrong, I own a hybrid, and I love it. The beauty of having a mod is that you can create a variety of different looks and styles. Be refined, go wild, let your mod reflect your demeanor of the moment.

For me, the look of a hybrid mod is secondary to performance. Call it a happy coincidence, but the true point of a hybrid is so that no voltage is lossed through a 510 connection between battery and atomizer. The center post of the atomizer is essentially the positive pin of the mod, supplying full power directly to the coil. The fact that they look so streamlined is only because they were designed that way. If a modder wanted to make a hybrid look like a chunky sloppy mess they could design one that way, and I'm sure it would perform great, it just might not be very popular. I do want something that has a nice sleek look to it, but I also want something that will perform as if the atty is sitting directly atop the battery.

Edit: I see what you guys were talking about now. Hey Dak, just wait till Dave releases his atty (atties?) for this thing. Then you'll have the ultimate hybrid in look and function!

I'm excited for the hybrids atty add on. I think I'm more excited for the DNA20 module though.

I was looking at The Crown today (a kick alternative) and was thinking that could be really cool inside the ELA as well.

They'rel not really available yet but the smooth non-threaded telescope design of the ELA would be a perfect fit for it.

I'm really looking forward to getting rid of some stuff when the ELA comes in though. With the DNA20 I'll finally sell off my v1 ProVari as well.

Jackpot, EC. I was thinking the same thing.

I just like the idea of having one mod to mess around with. It's such an awesome base to build off of.

I'm really excited to be in this first round. I know David had mentioned this was the finest machining on any Super-T mod to date. Can't wait to see that in person.

My only regret now is not ordering sooner. It'll be painful watching them arrive as I wait for mine to ship.

I guess you're right... Not an easy set up. Like ryantherobot, im curious to see what atty's people think of using. I can really use some good suggestions!

That's kind of my plan as well. I see my mod collection in the future consisting of 2 ELA's, a DNA 20 module, and a kick. Along with a few good atties, I can't see myself needing much more than that.

Cjax, what do you know that I don't....?
