I was just thinking Id like a pair of the rings in Satin, but I dont see an option. I think I saw a post about the same thing and I think someone said that you order them in stainless and then add in the notes that you want them in Satin. Is this true, Id really love a pair in the Satin finish.
D3mon, if you want to have a controlled voltage, wattage, you can get the same results with the ELA and a KICK. You wont get all the bells and whistles as far as a digital readout etc. But with the ELA and a Kick you can have consistent performance. I love the Kick and cant wait to see the difference in performance from the PV im using now and ELA.
I hope Im not setting my expecations too high, but I hope I pop my Kick in ELA and my Odysseus on and really say " AHHHH, this is what the Super-T experience is .
Well, i'm about to make the leap into RBAs myself and i tend to run 2 mods with two flavors at once. so my ELA with a crown and i was thinking a lower priced VV like the vamos. something i can also test ohms so i can get the RBAs right.
LOL, no strata for me or any other Genesis atomizer
Yea... My rings will be satin. (Confirmed vie email)
In fact, it's my understanding that, by default, the rings will match the PV. So if you ordered the ELA in satin, the rings will be too... Assuming of course that you ordered ss rings... I don't think there is an option for satin/brass at this time.
Dave or Lady... If you see this... Please confirm the above statement or set me straight.![]()
Just my opinion here, it would still be worth it. I have looked at a ton of telescoping mods and they don't compare.
Peoples huge rage right now is over the polidac (not sure about the spelling), with silver pins. I keep thinking in my head how fast silver tarnishes. They all talk about the hit and how great it is. Don't get me wrong the mod looks awesome. You could pick one up for about 160 euros (about 218 usd) before shipping while they were on sale. I personally do not own a silver tea set, but my mother did. I would polish that tea set and make it look oh so pretty, within a week it was already starting to look grey (oxidized) again.
Of course that is just one reason to go for the ELA, the main reason for me at least.![]()
| Silver | Rhodium | |
| Hardness Rating | 300 | 800 |
| Oxidization/Corrosion/Tarnish Rate | Extremely High | Non existent. Will never corrode/oxidize/tarnish |
| Melting Point | 1763F | 3567F |
| Electrical Arcing Susceptibility | High | Extremly Low (electrical arcs can reach momentary temps of 10,000+F) |
| Chemical/Acid Resistance | Low, Readily dissolves in acid | Impervious to almost all known chemicals and acids (its why they couldn't save my rhodium parts after poor plating, theres no way to strip it) |
I like to think of them as magical brass contacts that never oxidize - all the benefits of brass (good conductivity) with none of negatives (oxidation, regular maintenance).
Pig backing?
May I suggest a Zmax, if a Provari is too expensive. Preferably the new telescopic V3 version
