A local-ish outfit named Good Times Burger does the Big Daddy Bacon Cheeseburger.

Being who they are, they usually put six or more bacons on there.
My grandfather has a small pig farm and I can enjoy "homegrown" bacon 365 days a year. In Croatia eating raw bacon is considered a delicacy. Hm, I wonder what the statistics for coronary diseases would have to say about that

Raw meat is a different thing. Bacon is prepared in such a way as to eliminate any possible disease carrier. It's usually eaten with regular bread (not the sweet one) and onions. Of course, we fry it as well, but not nearly as often as you (Americans) do. And when we do fry them, it's never to the point of it being like a crisp. I remember when I was in America, I was chewing on a piece of salted, smoked bacon and people looked at me like I was a cannibal or something.
gotcha, that would explain the "raw" comment. I can/do eat raw beef like hamburger meat or cut off a piece of my steak before i cook it but i would never do that with pork or chicken. Salted smoked bacon, that sounds so good!

Upscale burger joint here in Charlotte has a Bacon Cheeseburger on Steroids- applewood smoked bacon, jalapeno bacon, bacon salt and bacon mayo, and another called the Badas_ Burger that has a mixed groundbacon/groundbeef patty with more bacon on top. Called Bad Daddy's Burger Bar. Look up their menu, it pretty awesome.

All I can say is I'm glad I ordered early, I have a feeling these are going to be hard to keep in stock even with the in-house machining. I need to finish my homemade PV stand soon so she has a place to sleep
