If I tell you that that rba is a 22mm atty, will that be bad ?

Nic

I won't lose sleep kinda bad, but the mod dwarfs that atty in girth. I'm thinking Attys won't be flush. I've grown to like the flush look rather quickly.

Edit: ok after looking again it seems that the main tube with the cut out is 22mm and the knurl ring and top/ bottom is more like 23-24 mm. Hmm, won't be shy in saying I'd be curious if that extra width is neccessary to the design. I bet not.

from watching Dave's video, im under the impression that genny tank atties will not sit totally flush withe the ELA (there is a very very small gap). Can anyone comment on this (am i incorrect?, how noticeable is the gap? etc)

The ELA top is designed so that RBA's and tanks sit flush(the exception being manufacturers who's designs have a ledge in the bottom) but more importantly the tanks/rbas and atomizers on the ELA design, don't rely on the 510 connection to support them. The air gap is so minimal (.005 or about two human hairs) it looks integrated.

I'll take you up on that bet.
If the main tube is 22, then the tube it slides in is necessarily bigger. Then you have to add a bit more material at the ends to accommodate nice threading.
Super-T, if nothing else, means economy of design.

This picture here demonstrates how minimal the gap is for that integrated look and also demonstrates what a 22mm diameter rba looks like on the ELA:

I haven't held it to see so I can't say either way, but the threads on my little P10 are nice and chunky so that may be the width added. Doesn't mean it's neccessary, means its a priority in the design. Like I said, it's nothing to lose sleep over but where most other mods and owners are on the flush kick, I'm a little surprised that wasn't considered higher priority (or maybe it was?). In other words, to please the users who would normally swoon over a vela or a chi-you, paps, nemesis etc. I'd really like David to have a hit on his hands because his quality is the highest that I've seen in my hand. I'm just wondering if the aesthetic had to be compromised for the quality or function. Fair to wonder no?

Edit: the main tube at thinnest part center looks to be 22mm not the inner sleeve. Then you have upper flanges which accept the cap/ twist ring. Those may be wider to accept the great threads that I've seen. I'm speaking of the upper cap to the atomizer.

Those guys aren't typical users. Those are peeps that like a product because it is hard to find. They like it because few have them. The users here are typically different, they like it because they know it works, and the quality is the best in the industry.

David isn't trying to target an audience that doesn't care about overall quality. Why bother? I mean to them if it doesn't bling, and eye catching to them it isn't worth it. Have you noticed that most of them are noobs? There are few in the bunch that are an exception to the rule. If you pay close enough attention to that bunch, some also pay high dollar for the precise line. One day no lie, a few in that group I sat and watched a p+10 and a few batteries starting bid of 110 euros, this was the exact same time that superT had the p+10's on sale. I didn't stick around to watch the final bid, but I did see it get up to 150 euros. That is like $190 usd.

David has a hit on his hand, it may not appeal to noobs that have no clue, but it does appeal to those that are in the "know".
