I'd suggest a Z ATTY U because the fiddle factor is very minimal and the way you wrap it make's it easier than twisting a coil on any medium. It also come with enough pre rolled SS mesh to get you by for a long time. I would suggest using either 30 awg A-1 kanthal for 1-1.5 ohm vaping and 28awg A-1 Kanthal to break into the 0.5 to 0.7 ohm range.Or if you feel you can handle smaller atties get a cheap drip atty with holes in the post like the ERA clone or Octopus rda for around $10 to $15 and see if it's for you :D
I have been following you guys/gals for a while now. Great group of people! You guys/gals have such an abundance of knowledge and experience in this vape world! I didn't even know this world even existed! I was just trying to quit smoking. I don't even know you, but when you get excited, I get excited right along with you! Quite often, you make this old lady smile. Thanks for that!

I am patiently awaiting my ELA. Getting excited! But, also still confused as to what to put in, and on it. Even more so, now that I am seeing that some items are not working with the ELA. If anyone is willing to hold my hand a bit, that would be so so so so very much appreciated!

Let me tell you my story:

My first, and only vape(actually I have two), is a Thermovape AVA RES. Basically, I consider it a drip, with a bit of extra via a ceramic res. It uses an AVA HR atomizer. It is not an RBA, and they don't make them anymore. When mine die, I have to purchase refurbished ones. It stacks two CR123 batteries to run at 6V. When it works, it is a great vape. Lots of vape. Great taste. But, when it works!

Atty/etc: I love the taste of a fresh drip, but am not opposed to some extra juice if it can be accomplished without too much loss of taste. Dripping is a pain! I like lots of vape. I need simple. Brain damage from a stroke, makes fiddling with things difficult. If it's an RBA, it needs to be a simple RBA. If I am getting a product that will make me happy, money is not an issue. I love SS, and well machined parts. Thus, the ELA. I would like an atty/etc. that looks like it belongs on the ELA. I like American made. If I have to purchase outside the US, almost anywhere other than China.

Batteries: I did order a kick, kicklet, and extended tube. Whether I use any/or all of them or not, that is still optional. The goal for me is safety, lots of vape, and simple.

So, basically, I am looking for quality, safe, simple, lots of vape, and reliable. I am a 'wash and wear' kind of girl. I want a 'wash and wear' kind of vape. :)

Thanks!

At least an extra week.............You would of kicked yourself if you missed out on an ELA.......

Yes, yes I would, right in the shins!

Ok have to be in a meeting all day so I'm taking my ELA which I said would never leave the house. Have my trusty ERA which blows clouds even though it looks so tiny on top.

I use an o-ring to cover the air hole to kinda prevent juice from leaking out the air hole. Not exactly fool proof but its better than nothing :)

Edit: I love this thing in 18490 mode. I don't have large hands and I find its the perfect size for me.

Wongster is pulling a vapatimist trick!!

Who can blame you though, pictures sure do look good in the car! Great shot makes me really want those brass rings now. Dag blasted if I didn't miss out on that brass button!

My sugesstion is to keep on dripping for the best vape available.... Z-atty-U ? Its a good atty except for the added weight/bulk/airy draw-I sold my ZAP because of all that...
If you dont want to fiddle with RBA's I love the HH357's.... best vapor and taste in a disposible atty with a small form factor... Yes they are expensive @ $25 a piece and you will need to replace then every 3-4 weeks to keep maximum performance levels...
I buy 4 at a time....just part of my vaping budget....
Im still waiting for a SuperT RBA drip atty...

Firstly, the not-fitting thing was exposed a few comments later to be caused by the Kicklet cap which Super-T had contracted out to a 3rd-party manufacturer, rather than manufacturing in-house. Shouldn't be a problem with the ELA. If you get a 510 atty that doesn't work on the ELA, it's probably due to out-of-spec threads on the atty, rather than the ELA. However, David has demonstrated a willingness to widen the threads on a user's ELA to compensate if it becomes an issue.

For ease of use and fiddle-free vaping, hell, you might consider simple un-punched cartos. They should work well with the adjustable draw cap. None of the mentioned stainless-steel toppers such as the Terminator, Nimbus, Kayfun, or any other exotic-sounding rebuildables will work with the adjustable draw cap. I just ordered a set, just to play with.

If you want simple, there is nothing more simple than a good ole boge and cartomizer to tank combination. As I told everyone I gave away my ST mod and set him up with boge cartos and a pyrex tank from IBTank . Dont let anyone tell you that you cant get a satisfying vape from a carto and a tank.

Edit: I think anavidfan was hitting submit as I started composing my thoughts. I agree with her suggestion for carto tanks. Start out with a cheap-o SmokTech DCT or two; and if you like them, then get a pyrex tank or two from highdesertvapes or wherever you like. Or grab some pre-punched cartos and a tank from IkenVape, and I'm sure you can sell whatever you don't use on the classifieds if they are not for you.

If a rebuildable as others have suggested appeals to you, then you might also be interested in a Super-T VapeMate to keep your dripper wet.

Sounds like you are on the same quest as every other vaper -- our quest for vaping nirvana. No matter what you have, there's always something else you'd like to try -- something that might taste better, or offer easier cleaning, or easier rebuilding.... I've been thoroughly satisfied with my vape gear for several months now. Yet here I sit, patiently waiting for my ELA.... :)

We'll never be satisfied until we get a device the size of a cigarette that holds enough juice and battery life for 2 days' worth of vaping. Such a device might come to pass in another 20 or 30 years. It'll probably involve cold fusion and... uuhhh... foam. Or something. Until then, we'll continue to experiment and evolve our hobby.

I say all that to say there are 1,000 answers to your question, which all or none could be correct. The best advice I can offer is experiment. Play. Have some fun with it.

Cucco, if I lived close to you I wouldn't mind rolling new coils on any new RBA that you might have chosen, but since I don't, I have to agree with River, Ana, and Snork. A good chunk of peeps in this sub still use the good ole atomizers. For that, there's no better than a HH.357. Keep dripping, Cucco :). If you must drive, use a Vapemate. Simple, effective, cheap. Once you get the hang of it, you are made.

Wish you well,

Nic

Edit- absolutely true that cartos and cartos tanks are still a very viable option for you :vapor:

On a tangent here; now it might just be a placebo effect, but darn, I'm loving the Super-T snub nose shorties. Just got mine today. Shamefully I have to disclose that these are my first official Super-T driptips, after all this time hanging in this forum

Nic

I ordered their Kofun Stainless Steel T-Tip. I have my eye on their Tanbur Stainless Steel T-Tip. But, they are out-of-stock. They look kinda fun.

That's because I ninja purchase the goodies and don't make a big stink about it. So, I usually have mine before everyone realizes the stuff is available! haha! :vapor: *cough cough RIVERBOAT cough*

For some odd reason I just knew you were gonna be the first one to post "the brass button" pic first. They look fantastic, Nach :toast:.

Cucco, now that Dave has his own CNC, I seriously doubt that anything would be discontinued. It would just be a matter of him having time, in which, right now, Dave doesn't have much.
