Whatever wattage gives you the best flavor.

I don't understand why you're asking.
Start low and take a few puffs and move it up until it tastes the best or starts tasting bad and back down.
It's a matter of pushing the right or left button to find what you like the best.

If I took the advice given in this thread I'd have quit vaping because it tastes like burnt crap.
I'm rarely above 7w and almost never above 4v. I only use the higher settings to power though a caked coil or flooding.
You need to find your own settings.

Just to get a leg up on figuring it out, is all.

You're trying to over think it.
Different liquids, different tops, different flow rates, different amounts of coil gunk, are all going to change what setting tastes best to you.
If it's too light, turn it up until it's not. If it's too burnt, turn it down until it's not.

Now if you want some RVW/RVV programs for an eVic that is where a leg up could help.

I am loving this thing so far. Feels like I have arrived. Better vape.

Since we're still carrying on this conversation, it's possible that it's you who are over thinking it. I get this thing it the mail, it's got all these settings, I'm just looking for some baseline to get me started on this thing. Turns out, the two voltage notches over the ohm reading is turning out to be the exact kind of thing I was looking for, so thanks for that.

I too use my Vamo in wattage mode almost exclusively. 7.5 to 8 watts seems to be my sweet spot for most of my juices. What I like about the wattage mode is I can screw pretty much anything on to the Vamo and it will adjust the volts for the ohms on my head and give me the warmer vape I like. Only time I turn it down is for extreme ice from MBV, that seems to give me a better taste at 6.5 to 7 watts.

i just got my v3 in the mail

anyone know how to switch from voltage to wattage?

and good god, the first few dry hits on an evod are making me reconsider vaping altogether
Hold both buttons until the menu appears, menu 1 toggles between voltage and watts by using the left button. Select which one you want to use then, wait for the display to go off.

Edit: not sure how you're getting dry hits from a bcc. should wick in 10 or 15 seconds.

The benefit of variable wattage is you don't have to calculate anything. The Vamo will read the ohms of the attachment and automatically adjust the volts to give the watts you have set.
Try it out - start low - at about 5 watts, and just click up to where it tastes good. You don't need to know the ohms of the attachment or work out what volts it should be at. That's the value of the vw mode.
I tell people to start with vw - and they find it much easier.
Also - the manual is very helpful. I see some-one linked it.
