pressure switch location, a great idea for drippers!!!

Manufacturers, regarding automatic battery design, why do you put the pressure switch as the CLOSEST thing to where we drip? Why not just place the pressure switch at the OTHER END? Right on the tip behind the LED, and the juice wouldn't ruin the batteries! I can't believe no one has thought of this... Would it work?

If you can channel the air flow through the length of the battery it may work, BUT, you still have to pull air from inside the battery, which means, there would still need to be an opening.

An opening on the battery = liquid leaking in.

I wonder if a small silicone flap forming a one way valve would work? That way the only time liquid could pass would be when you're drawing but the airflow should prevent that.
