I am pretty sure evolv isn't shipping anymore out until they fix the screen scramble issue that plagued the smaller screen dna40s.

They released the large screens to manufactures last week with several fixes that will be detailed once we get our hands on them. One rumor is that "refinement" will be optional and the C issue is resolved. I have five coming to play with.

Welcome Retird, join the fun

THX BobC..... Still reviewing all the document, parts list, and etc... Initial thought was if there is any conductivity or resistance variation in the modified FD 510 with the custom vented screw but after pondering that thought I would be surprised if just feeding juice thru the 510 would have any effect....

Looking forward to "eye candy" here..... in other words..... Pictures..... LOL...

I've been running the earlier v3.1 with the same Deans connectors, same 510, and a DNA40 in it as my daily driver / beater mod since mid October. Zero issues.

Disclaimer: I titanium coils at around 0.25 ohms and wattage set in the high teens, so I'm not pushing crazy amounts of current, but my resistance readings are rock solid (refinement never changes them by more than 0.01 ohms), so I really don't think the Deans connectors or the 510 are a worry.

OK, I'm convinced. We would need to have a 10 milliohm shift to show any change on the meter. Sub-milliohm would have no effect. I have confidence in my soldering. At one point, back in the '80s, I was "solder certified" by the FDA to build critical medical devices. I had to do 10 connection in a row with no bridging or cold joints. What a rigorous exam. This were before surface mount was common so I had lots of space.
I should get on over to Sculpteo and order.

No there arent compatible, but I am working on a v4 internal/caps for wood. But it needs a lot changes from the V4.2. The v3.1 is small screen only. The v4.2 has both large and small screen versions.

That's what I thought, but just wanted to make sure. Off to order one set of caps and a v4.2. Thank you.
