The printed parts from sculpteo, are they pretty decent plastic? I use a 3D printer at work a lot but the material we use for the most part is on the brittle side. I started the verification process and will be following the thread. I would love to get in on the next parts purchase especially if one is put together for the new dna 40.

I hope I'm not out of line for asking this but...

Can anybody identify what SVA used as a bottlecap-tube-connector thingy? It looks almost like a female rivet piece, its the metal washer looking thing @ 18:34 in this vid SVA Review . I would love to use something like that in this build, or find one that fits the Vapage VMOD XL bottles. It's been hit or miss trying to properly seal those 9ml bottles.

Drill an 11/64" hole in the vapeage 9ml bottle and it seals nicely.

I've done that on all of them. My problem is the plastic threads arn't air tight and I have to either tighten it down with a lot of force or use an oring that can slip out of position. Like I said, it's been hit or miss, sometimes it seals just fine, and sometimes air gets in and it gets hard to squonk fully. If theres an off the shelf rivet (if thats even what that is) that would fit and seal better I'd rather go with that. The rivet (?) also gives it a very slim profile, and I would open my search up again for a 12ml bottle.

Edit: I've been using the 9ml bottles for over 6mo, so I'm sure theres some wear on those threads with that soft plastic. Either way, that rivet (?) looks like a better seal.

Just finished reading over 240 pages of this thread to prevent me from asking anymore stupid questions. I am now cross-eyed and ready to order some toys. Gdeal thanks for the awesome mod to get me back into modding mode. And thanks to to rest of the community for all the added input, pics and tips.

Does anyone have a pic of the 9ml bottle setup?
Do I just buy the bottles and drill a 11/64 hole and I'm good to go?

Yep ... pretty much!

I drill a smaller hole from the inside out first with a bit that fits inside the flange in the top cap. Then with 11/64 widen the hole drilling from the top side down through the flange. This helped me get the most centered hole through the flange area. I also clean up the bottle top to help ensure a good seal.

I was able to source a new DNA40 board so I don't have to be without my favorite mod while waiting for RMA with Evolv.

I got the new board soldered in. I do NOT want to have to take the internals apart again, next time (should I be so unlucky) I will do a whole new set of internals instead. I was able to get it apart without breaking any of the pieces but it was nerve racking the whole time.

To be back in vaping nirvana made it all worth it though :vapor:
