Oh what atty to use? How about triple twisted 34ga duals in a Mephisto :)

Coils come in at 0.111Ω and banana cream flavor is really good at about 28W

<afraid to ask> What do you use the Vaseline for?

Chuckle... doesn't everybody have a jar of vaseline in their garage? Actually I got that jar to use as a release agent for a carbon fibre DNA BF mod I started working on last year and stopped my effort because gdeal 3D printed shells became available. My vaseline, carbon fibre, epoxy and forming mold now just sit waiting for me to get back to-it.

Ahh... I knew there had to be a reason... just glad you aren't vaping it or using it to lube coils for easier wicking or something. LOL

BTW: You might want to consider keeping your PGA in a sealed container. I have found that it tends to "evaporate" when left in open glasses very long. ;-)

CHEERS!

Have to agree, the Gdeal BF'er is the best there is right now! and the DNA40 is the perfect fit for it. I am so enjoying mine
That is a very nice little family you have there. With this Epic little unit one isn't enough. Cant wait till my Gdeal becomes a little family to

No Kidding!!! Nothing like having a huge collection like that especially when it is all the best gear on the planet. Very drool worthy photos there!

Painted - Cured - & Test Fit

Used a few cans of Wally World spray paint...
couple light coats of Rust-Oleum White Plastic Primer on bottom internals, button, & ring
2 light coats of Krylon Ultra-Flat camo paint for top internals and as a base coat for the bottom & top shells (inside & out)
1 fairly strong coat of Rust-Oleum Multicolor Textured for bottom & top shells

The white & untra flat black are both formulated for plastic so hoping nothing scratches off too bad. Seems pretty rugged so far. Also hoping that PG doesn't dissolve the paint over time. (could be messy)

Very nice look! It's very cool how we can personalize the look of these mods, so they all become a very unique piece :)

I have a couple cans of textured on a shelf in the garage that I've been eyeballing :) Used some on my RV power pole last year and it has an interesting feel. Bet it's nice and coarse on the plastic and looks like it hides print lines. Should be easy to clear coat just enough to dial in what feels right for everyday use. I like a little coarseness to remain but still smooth enough to slid in and out of a pocket.

I have no idea how well that textured paint would wear in hand every day. Try it and let us know. I'm curious to know how long it takes to develop smooth spots from constant use. Seems it would be easy to shoot another coat and then put clear over it if it doesn't wear well.

Yeah that is what I was thinking... never done anything like this before so I am sure glad y'all got my back on this one!!! :)

Anyone had any issues with juice ruining paint?

I figure I'll ask Nuppin build advice here as a lot of gdna folks are using them. I bought 1 Nuppin and am trying it out before I buy another, but that window is closing fast.

I built a 9 wrap, 2.5ID Ni200 coil and placed as close to the airhole and on plane with the airhole. The flavor wasn't nearly as powerful as I get out of my Magma with the same coil characteristics and wattage.

Are there some different thoughts on how best to get max flavor out of this atty? I assumed with such a tiny chamber, that the flavor would be on par or better than the Magma.

Thanks!

Edit: should have mentioned 28AWG and single coil. both for the Nuppin and Magma.

Anyone new to building with the DNA, make sure you clean all the flux off the board. My GDNA had the possessed issue were it would fire on its own. The problem went away when I cleaned the board of flux residue. I was using a monocle and did not see any bridges or loose strands. I think the boards are just very sensitive to high resistant shorts.
