not really - the connectors were donated and i had to limit the number of kits to rossum's surplus ;)

i might find that pesky part after i had my nap but, anyhow, on providing pictures of the miscounted baggies, the vendor sent replacements!

Thanks Tibs, I'll keep that in mind, any and all help is much appreciated

OK folks, I'm going to attempt to host a GDNA Parts Kit Coop
A couple of things have to be addressed prior to posting the Interest thread

1.) I need to get with GDeal to confirm GDNA version and parts list associated with it.
2.) As this is to be my first coop, I need to confirm cost and MOQs for all required parts to establish the kit price and how many kits I will be able to offer

Please note: 510s and the custom 510 BF screws will not be included in this run, as the imposed 'Newbe' dollar limit would be breached with these items included

I see this happening in a few days

Hey bob any further word on this? :D

Not being annoying
But totally am haha

I wish this co-op talk got started 3 weeks earlier. Just got all my parts in yesterday. All I can say is, these parts are TINY!

I will start on all the prep work this weekend. Excited and anxious at the same time
Pics or you're not BF'ing.

Just for info since there's talk of coops going around....

A few weeks ago there was some discussion around the connectors available on eBay, seems people were having problems with Hobby King. Just wanted to report that I ordered the eBay ones and they LOOK fine, right down to the lip on the bottom of the connectors (though you can't quite see it in the pictures). I haven't built my GDNA yet so I can;t say how they work, but in terms of fit, they do FIT exactly into the frame slots. This is the link in case someone needs it

Also for this run, I ordered two sets of Polished parts from Sculpteo. Looking at all the pictures posted before, I expected a somewhat rougher product, in terms of fit and finish. But these are very nice, surfaces are smooth, everything slides into place without any problems. There's even a half mm gap between the connector and the top of the frame, so it doesn't look like I will need to sand this. The only issue I had was with the screen cover being very tight but after sliding it on and off a few times (DON'T force it!), they are fine now. Delivery wasn't bad, first one took about a week, second one had to be restarted and took another week but I ordered right before the new year so possibly the holidays got in the way.

Will update more as I go along...

Alright, i think I jinxed myself. After posting my thoughts above, I went for a final dry fit of all parts and ran into trouble with the dna screen cover. When I slide it on, it forces the bottom legs of the battery wall to splay out. I can't get those legs to stay straight, and I can't then fit it inside the outer shell. Interestingly, when the screen cover is halfway on and the grooves in the legs have caught, they are still straight. Its when I push the cover past 3/4 of the way on that the legs start to bow out. I've taken a screwdriver and run it through the grooves on both parts but it doesn't seem to be enough.

Also, I only have this problem with the Polished Gray parts. With the Polished White, everything fits smoothly

Do I need to clear the grooves more? What kind of tool should I be using? Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

Mine had the same problem and if I'm remembering correctly it's the grooves in the cover do not extend as far back as they need to go. That's why when it's on half way it fits fine. It's only when the legs of the battery wall get to the "end" of the groove it starts pushing the legs out of the other end. I think I just took a really small flathead screwdriver and dug into the end where the groove stops, to make sure I got all the extra material out. If you try it and notice the legs don't stick out as far, then there is your problem. Just keep digging at them until the legs fit flush. I may have also sanded the outside of the legs the last little bit to get it to fit.

This is all going from my memory which I have noticed is deteriorating daily. (when I remember to notice) So take it with a grain of salt.

but won't 22mm hang off the edges on 3 sides? If any 22mm would work it would be the LP. I've got a Cyclone on my Gdeal at all times these days, it looks great and work even better; fitting flush with the 10mm standard 510 that came with the kit.

P.S. This is a good deal for a 22mm low profile, and I've been thinking of trying them on some stuff, so I'm looking forward to hearing back from steamer on the quality :)

What are you using as a seal Vince? My cyclone does not fit flush but I am using a drip tip o-ring on the Cyclone threads as a seal. It is by far my all time favorite PV. I was thinking of using a PTFE washer it would at least look flush. Any one use a washer?
