You can get a cheap set at harbor freight. McMaster Carr will have better quality. They are referred to as wire gauge drills.

I have an update on my forgotten Peko from Sculpteo. I had written them again as this redo order was scheduled to ship on the 15th and then all of a sudden the shipping changed to the 20th. More delays. I was finally fed up and wrote them to cancel the order and refund my money. If I didn't hear anything within 24 hours I would file with PayPal. Nothing happened and so I did. I then got an email from Andrew stating that it's impossible to cancel as it was already in print. The same thing that had been said, word for word before. This morning, I checked and for the first time in a month, it has made it to post printing and the shipping date has been moved up to today! We'll see what happens. I swear, I don't know what got into those folks with my order. My Shapeways order is progressing nicely. I'm anxious to see how the print quality is.

As we get closer to the actual event, we're seeing that 24 hours may be an optimistic, if not unreasonable guestimate. Better plan on 48 hours. The database import alone is going to take around 12 hours (if nothing goes wrong with it).

We'll be making an announcement when we have a better idea with links to keep tabs on the progress.

well ive finally got some pics and can post them for all to see and lemme know whatcha think.sadly I think im going to have to sell both of these so I can get my truck fixed,ive spent 800$ on the fuelpump alone and now time for plugs,wires and such...another 200$i have a few reo's I been thinkin of selling them or these....just not sure.but don't look like itll be this weekend since the shut downs coming.here we go,ps:ive got a D.M.S. peko that WONT be getting sold so ill have at least 1 peko left.the last 3 pics are a 26650 and I haven't got the topcap done yet.the 1st 2 pics are the one I redid umpteen times and finally just used a brush with polyurethane one it,so the pics look way better then IRL.thier are brushmarks but idc I was fedup...lol.to cold to be painting when I started that one.the 26650 has turned out supernice though.sprayed with black paint then took hammertone and kinda splatterd it,quite proud of that one for sure!thanks for all the help from everyone here!!

Hahaha....this is funny. Anyone else notice the top ingredient on the can is urine? At least the way the light is hitting it...LOL. I know is it Taurine, but still funny. To me anyway. Maybe I just have a sick sense of humor. Been told that....F'em.

The good news is, it's not pee. The bad news is that it's a major salt in the bile of humans and other mammals. It's one of those acids that aren't an amino acid but it's close. Not harmful, just a little gross.

A little hard to tell from the photos, but the hammer tone looks awesome! Good job Rick!
Seems like painting these things isn't as easy as one might think. There's a lot more wear and tear that happens on things that are handled all day. I am surprised how well my pearl blue acrylic paint is holding up. No scratched or anything yet. Now, the Krylon chrome spray paint is a different story...

Finally got my peko shell back from the Hydrographics place. The film didn't set well and it has a few things that may need to be sanded down, but I guess that's what you get when you ask for a tiny thing to be dipped after being sprayed with glow in the dark paint.



Next time I'll just paint it myself and call it good.

You need to point me to where you got that done. Now I want a glowing night vape Peko!!! What a wonderful idea.

And Sean Moore, yeah, i know about the ingredients in monster. I'm addicted though and cannot stop. Especially when I only pay a dollar a can. Most gas stations round here have them marked at $2.50 per can!

Monster and DIY fruit loop filled Pekos are my daily.

Here she is, my first peko:

3 coats of Tamiya gunmetal and the same again of plastikote clear matt.

I struggled putting it together and kept losing the little nuts, but all good now. Hardest part was getting the button to work properly. Is it meant to lock?

update on 2nd peko. Instead of painting the whole thing this time I am trying some 3m contact sheet sample that I received. What I am going to do is just paint top and bottom grey and mist inside grey to blend. I have picked up some parts local except 510 connector and will post more soon.

Good looking paint job Distro. The button screws down (clockwise) to raise the fire pin. It should move easily, A couple turns clockwise should put it into to locked position. If that is what you mean.

Yes I'm happy with the paint job. Took a couple of attempts but on the second I put the paint on with a sponge and it seemed to work well
