Distro, what atty is that?
BobC [emoji38] being a guy that's all about small atties how do you not know about the atomic?!

This amazes me, even I have an atomic in my drawer!

Their nice but the posts are too close together for my liking. The Philips heads it comes with almost touch and they could short out. I guess a quick fix would be grubs but I just never got to it..

I rock an atomic almost every day. It is the atty all others are measured by in my house. Quick fix for the screw issue is to chuck them in a drill and sand the heads smaller. Much better IMO than those tiny grub screws. I have run everything from 1 ohm single coil to .2 ohm duals on it.

To this day still the best atty I own.

Spring on the fire button came defective, can I fix this? I ordered the pre made from live wire. Pretty sure it's the spring since it was smashed in when I opened the mail and it does not seem to height adjust with any turning of the button. So sometimes it fires and sometimes it doesn't . I have an 18650 peko and the spring and button adjust like directions say. But the 26650 came with pushed in button. Apologies if I'm in the wrong thread please direct me.

Are you sure it's smashed in? There are two different buttons. The lower button barely sticks up. Take the top off and while screwing the button see if your firing pin moves up and down. If this has the lower button sounds like you just need to make some counter clockwise turns to get the firing pin lowered. If that's not it I would contact live wire since you purchased this assembled.

Oh and the battery should be in positive end down.

Yes movement of the contact does not happen when turning the button. I believe it is the low button version, the metal contact beneath the frame barely moves when button is fully pressed and it looks tilted, one side lower than the other but that could be uneven sanding of the plastic right? Also if I unscrew the 510 to make the screw higher for atty connection Do I risk leaks? It's just an o ring under the screw head and the delrin insulator/ hex nut on the inside of body?

Has anyone ever tried Plastic Dip spray??
Seems like an interesting alternative to paint and poly for protection. Also if you don't like it will peel off.
Wondering if the thickness would mess with correct fit of parts?

Bob it's the atomic. Never occurred to me to mention it since I know you like small sized atties. It is sold as bf by reosmods. I think it is the reomizer 3 if I'm not mistaken.

Ah, I see, slim pickins for anything under 22mm, and I just don't like 22mm atties. I pretty much own everything 17mm or less ( chalices, nuppins, cyclones, reactors, divos, pdas)

Is it chromed or SS? I don't own anything chromed

Thanks Geo!. Here is a cutaway of the CAD. The lower brass bolt is secured by the middle nut to the Solder Lug that connects across to the Atty. The top brass nut is CA glued into the fire button. The spring sits on the internal structure so that the force is pushing the firing pin (brass bolt) upwards. The distance of push required to fire the device is adjustable by turning the fire button. You can also "lock" the device by fully turning the Fire button clockwise.

. Is the spring supposed to rest on the brass nut that is glued to the fire button? My spring is wide and rests around the nut against the plastic fire button. Is this why no matter how much I turn that button either way it will not raise, lower or lock the contact screw? Or am I supposed to trap the spring between the nut that secures the solder lug to the head of the contact screw? Right now the other side of the spring is against the plastic middle frame.

Looks like my Sculpteo order will be here tomorrow, finally. It's funny, I never did get any explanation for the awful delay. I'll just be glad to have it. My Shapeways order is in production, so I also had to order an internal kit from Livewire. Love seeing the finish jobs on other's Pekos. I'm happy if I can get a successful paint job on mine. I would like to maybe send one in for cerakote. But that may wait until later. My vape budget is pretty well toast.

Glad to see it might finally work out for you Paul. You showed way more restraint with Andrew than I would have. Have about decided not to build my Peko's, too many other irons in the fire and don't really need them now with 5 more new Reos and deciding I don't like any of the 22mm atty's I bought. Small/mid size is my thing.

Here is an illustration. The spring should be around the nut against the button. When you twist the button the screw should screw into or out of the nut. That action is what provides the adjustment.

Maybe the nut is screwed too tight onto the screw and is not allowing the screw to screw in or out of the nut. Try holding the head of the screw(firing pin) and turn the button counter clockwise to loosen the screw in the nut.

Just received my 3 shells from scuplteo and my part kits... I put together the 18650 and I must say I am impressed with how easy everything went together. Form factor is great for my hands. Now time to put the 26650 together
