I did a new voltage drop comparison between reo and peko this am after some tweeking on firing mechanism. I soldered the two lugs together as well as the tiny bolt.
Test was done using a LG he2 and a nuppin built at .34 ohms.
Peko: battery 4.08v output 3.40v. Drop. 0.68v
Reo. Batt 4.08v. Output 3.29v. Drop 0.79v
That is a very notible Improvement over the last test I did. I'd also am using the pin removed from the fdv 510 as the firing pin instead of the screw.
ETA: measurements were all performed with a decent multimeter (not cheap but not a fluke either)

Are you saying the FDV 510 screw is more conductive then the Peko kit fire pin screw?
Not at all. It has a flat bottom unlike the screw supplied with my coop kit which is a button top. The flat surface of the 510 screw/pin makes a larger contact footprint with the battery. Probably negligible for voltage drop but definitely helps with arcing.
Interesting, which kit did you buy? My five Pekos all have flat screws with negligent differences in head surface area with the FDV pin
George, I like the original better (JMHO) I've never had the slightest problem with plastic thin or thick rings on either device, from SW or Sculpteo

Proteus coop kit. Someone else posted a pic of theirs that had same screw as me some time back.
It's slightly taller as well which gives me a slightly better switch throw geometry ....less throw means less arching of solder lugs which let's the firing pin contact the battery flatter. Sorry if that's confusing...Rossums wire modification eliminates the arching all together since firing pin moves straight up and down vs in a slight arch.
Mind u the mod works perfect as designed. I just enjoy tinkering with things and like to share my results for those who might be Interested.

I have both, and agree, the difference should be negligible from a VDrop perspective

Yes, he has always been very kind to me - helpful and such - so I much appreciate this as I was lost to build one from scratch. Now I have one to go by 
i received an order from shapeways and i was disappointed to see the deep print lines. i have not seen that with the sculpteo stuff i have received.

unpolished. i won't order polished from shapeways again. i received two complete sets awhile back- one polished, one unpolished.
after i washed them there was absolutely no difference 'tween the two sets. i emailed pictures to them and they did respond and did give me a $21 voucher, which was very nice, so i did order another few pieces from them so i could use up the voucher.
IDK what's going on with Shapeways, but whatever it is, it's getting worse with each print. After being inspired by Gdeal's printed dna30, I decided to try to made a bezel for a few DNA40's I had, to give as Christmas gifts to some still smoking friends I have. After it worked so well and I got questioned about mine a few times, I decided to open a shop up there..... each new design I come up with I get printed first.... they are absolutely getting worse and worse. IDK, don't know much about the printers themselves, but it's almost as if they have them put in "draft mode" or somethings out of alignment.
One was so bad I sent them pictures of it, and asked if it was the best they could do.... their reprint to show me how well they could do was in many ways WORSE.
Junquedjour, your also correct. I wanted to see the difference between white in polished and un-polished also. Same print, ordered at the same time, both in white.... couldn't see any difference at all in the 2.

You know at this point with the ongoing issues with quality control @ SW's they should only show a hand drawn pic of either gdeal and state "hit or miss" - more likely to miss.... And offer a 50% discount.....
Imo..... That's horrible Junquedujour are you sending it back? I mean no matter what kind of batch run they do, if there was any kind of quality control that print should have been recycled ♻!

18 gauge, very flexible, zillion-strand, silicone insulated RC hobby wire. Same stuff one would use to do the power wiring on a DNA40.
no i am not sending it back but they will not get any more business from me, which is sad cuz the email exchange that ended with the voucher was really pleasant.
i had high hopes after pointing out the initial problem and hoped that the voucher order would at least be as acceptable as the first wsf i had received. manOman! was that wasted hope. heh.
