I havent really seen a lot of usage. This is the latest for me, I think I posted it over at the v3.1 thread.
You need a 2mm SS washer under the lip at the flange on the ss insert and a brass compression collar to solder to. The collar also allows for full time compression of the oring, the washer keeps the stock oring in place and together they still have the self adjusting feature. You will need a way to secure the juice tube. Its just a slight compression fit over the ss hypotube. I think TruckerMSA asked him if he could update the part, but he is still recouping. But doing better hopefully.

Coop process is in the works. I am running through the parts list and working on a price for a "kit" ala TIbs 3.1 coop. I will need to speak with her to get screw contact info as its the same screw, At first glance, a rough one i might add. We are looking $12ish without the screw just for parts. No paypal or shipping fees are in there.
On mine I'm purely mechanical, no solder just as it was designed, it's replaced my reo completely. I have 2 new units on their way with the new design and plan on running them the same way, only difference is the v1 unit I have the spring firing button for the new update I'm going to test magnets replacing the spring. This thing is so small and light you don't even realize you have it.
Btw I have a unit in plastic and 1 in grey steel, the steel one was blown on delivery way off spec, I've been waiting another month for shapeways to remake it but I'm not holding out much hope, thus based on what was received we suggested deal not put them out with a complete metal option.

While the steel body could be really cool. I agree 4nic8, it doesnt make sense to open that option up. Shapeways look like they are not up to the task of printing it well enough in metal.
However, I will open the option for metal rings, but I am going to put a big bold note, that I am 99% sure that a ring will require work to customize a fit to the plastic body. Even thought their accuracy is .125mm, (if the can hit it right) its still likely that the ring will require work. .125 mm is a fairly small distance, but if it doesnt fit, it doesnt fit. The metal has zero give and the plastic wont conform the ring shape.
It is slightly difficult and its takes time and care to dremel the ring. But if someone likes the look and wants the challenge and they know that its not plug n play, they can go for it if they want to.
I also run mine as a pure mechanical, no wires, no solder.
That would be difficult right now, but I expect to build another one in a few days and will do so then (assuming I do it the same way).

I didn't use any of the quantity discounts yet. Once I get an idea of interest, I'll figure those in. People are happier when it's cheaper then initially stated!!
I'm so in when a group buy becomes available. Hopefully it'll be simple enough for even this idiot to assemble.

Excited to get a few more bottom feed mods at good price. Would also get the 3.1 of I felt comfortable trying to put a dna 30 in there. Far too complex for this guy.
