I will take some pics when I get some free time. I got an idea for supporting that area as well.Weak spot?? Do tell. Might be able to beef-it up for v1.2.
Merlin21 and Happivappi posted up an an inexpensive BF ready Zenith over at Angelcigs. I got a unit to test out the squonk action. There are two pre-drilled holes in the center post that look about .75 to 1 mm and the BF screw adaptorhas a 1.5 mm hole. The two holes in the center post are 1.5mm off the base, so it wont have complete drainage in some cases. So after cleaning one up, which is a must ( I pulled some loose shards of metal out of the post holes and then degreased in dish detergent), I threw Some Mundy Magic Wire in the large post holes and wicked it up.
Squonk action was great! Very little resistance, I think I was getting the full 1.5mm flow potential and suckback was strong. One thing to do if your holes are raised of the atty base is to bed down the base up to the hole with wick material. While you will have more than usual amount of juice/wick material, you will also minimize any leak potential after squonking.
vape action is nice. More airy than I like due to the larger chamber, but taste is good. The atty is 22mm, so it fits to the edges of Peko, but it looks a bit oversized relative to the small size of Peko. But I really have to say that for under $14 shipped to your door, its hard to beat for an easily obtainable BF ready atty. So I would put this one in the win column if you like this type of vape. Atty size is also a personal preference on look too.
Peko fell....Peko broke[emoji26] looks like I'm gonna have to order a few extra of the internals.
I would make a good beta tester. I tend to find everything's weak spot rather quickly.
3 ft drop onto pavement.... atty hit first.I see areas where I could add some thickness. What exactly happen? This is the first time I heard about breakage, so just want to understand if if was unusual.
Are your Zenith BF holes drilled under the trap wire hole? Mine are drilled on the side of the center post, facing the negative posts....![]()
Mine are facing the negative posts too, but slightly off center. Seems like for them it was the strongest point for location. Not so convenient for us to opening them up. I am going to pop out the center post if possible later. I'll post up pics on the mod to lower hole height, etc...
It hit pretty hard. More force than say falling off a table. Hard enough you would expect something to break. I was getting out of warm truck so plastic was not cold.Frozen Peko....was is a casual drop...like oops, or did it hit with force.
So what kind of problem are these causing?![]()
I am really starting to hate these pieces. HATE them!. Look at how chewed up they are. This is the 4th time taking the whole thing apart because these won't stay tight. (The first two times I didn't know what was going on, the last two is for this specific reason)
Now I know why Rossum soldered his, which is probably what I'm going to do.
