IIRC, 4 mm is for the bottle and/or tip. The delrin piece needs a #36. I think.

i've always drilled my delrin piece before tapping but I've read where some people just go straight to the tap
4 pekos I tapped without drilling. But i use a T for tapping by hand. Was easy enough not to hurt your hands even. Just make sure to back up when the tap is clogged.

Doesn't matter, but tapping allows the screw to be screwed in easier
Right, forcing the screw in through the Delrin without tapping works, but makes it a bugger to adjust. I think that's because unlike a tap, the screw doesn't actually cut threads, it just deforms the Delrin.

11/64 is bigger right? I can't remember... but if 5/64 is bigger than 11/64 I would not do it.

..any smaller than 11/64 my tube is restricted and hard to sqounk.

The 5/32 is what is recommended in the bottle mod doc, so that's what I got. But it is a hard squonk, so I think I'll try the 11/64.

so my vapebuddy tried assembling her Peko yesterday and glued the nut into the button (apparently using more glue than needed) and before letting that dry, she screwed in the screw. later, she tried to get the screw back out and twisted the screw head off. so i gave her a nut & screw from a kit i had. soooooooooo the question is, do any of you Peko parts hoarders have an extra button nut & screw you can spare?

Well, I chickened out buying the bright orange from sculpteo, and went with boring black.

I did have livewire modify the delrin and bottle for me so really all I should have to do is clear coat and assemble. I know there's the one cut of the threaded rod but that's easy and can be a little ham-fisted. I think with the livewire extra-service this thing is as close to being a KitMod as you're gonna get.

I'm heavily leaning towards the bright orange for my next 26650. Either that or the bright green. I really wish the blue was darker, like cobalt or royal.

You guys... it was totally my 510! I just switched out the 510 I got in my other parts kit, and the Nuppin threads immediately, and tightens down solidly, flush to the mod. Seriously night & day. That first 510 is just not right, not by a long shot. So glad I ordered an extra pack of 3 from FD.

ETA: And I picked up a 11/62 bit and drilled out the bottle. Easier squonking! I am just so pleased with my little black mod- just ordered shell #2! White polished, due to arrive 3/18.

That's really, really odd that you got a bad 510... considering J tested them all out. Good thing you had a 3 pack. And what the hey, their only like $3 bucks a piece. I have like 5 extra fd classics sitting around. I'll use them one day.. I guess when I get 5 more Pekos! Cause those 510's are SS and I'm sure not easy to strip, or break. They seem pretty solid honestly.

I thought you said it was working fine by not crushing the o-ring over the screw?

I got it to work as long as I did not use the o-ring around the FD510 (and didn't over tighten the nut on the vented screw). But it only still would barely catch the threads- like it would screw on only about 1/4 turn. It worked fine for a while, but today my Nuppin popped off in my bag, so I decided to try the other 510. Now the Nuppin starts threading right away, like it does on any other 510.

i discovered the other night that i have one 510 that is doing that also.
