Got the kit from live wire mods.. peko 2.2 coming in a couple of days.
What else do I need to assemble it aside from screwdriver, etc.. ?
Would a simple few coats of krylon 1311 work?
First Peko built.. so just want to get it up and running.. any suggestion/advice appreciated.

The 1311 sealant works well. A sharp knife is handy. A tap or just a drill is handy for getting the screw into the delrin of the 510 connector but not required. You should read gdeal's build doc. It is teeming with useful information.

A quick hello. Still over 200 pages back reading from the start... but I'm already in for some Peko's. I have co-op kits in hand, V2.2 printed for 2 kits is now ordered to learn on. The wait until they get here gives me time to try to catch up on the reading, but I'm sure I'll have questions later.

So after half an hour of trying to assembly the peko 2.2 with the live wire mod kit. Some parts like the battery contact leaf don't seem to line up
correctly. Way too much work; so it's going on the shelf for a while. Gotta say the peko does have a great form factor, and design.

There's no way I could of "shelved" my first Peko build. No possible way.. you need to pick that back up and get it hittin! You won't regret it, in fact you won't put it down.

Sometimes the print has leftover print residue. So when you go to press the leaf in make sure you press it in as far as it goes. There is a 1mm slit in the print that sometimes comes closed up. If you press that leaf hard enough it'll open it back up. Then you should be aligned. If you don't want to break through that way take an exacto and loosen up the print, just don't take off more than you need to.

haha.. The process of assembling things is just not as enjoyable as it used to be.
I'll look for a fully assembled unit or just get another Reo Grand (not a fanof the squanking action on the Reo).

gdeal.. that's exactly it. The channels on the sides are blocked. Give it another shot when time allows.

Found the confirmations from Sculpteo on the two V2.2's I ordered yesterday... hiding in my SPAM file (sheesh). I fixed that. Even with express shipping it's going to be a while before in hand. That's good though, time needed to read as much as I can, and find/buy anything else I might need to build/finish them. When all accomplished if they rock for me like everyone says they do for them... I'll order 2 more.
