Got my 2nd Peko in today from Sculpteo. A polished grey.

Unacceptable coloring would be an gross understatement. I was concerned about it when they sent me a picture. I was hoping it was bad lighting. Wrong!

Probably headed to the Cerakote Spa.

Any current reports on Shapeways? is the Peko available there in Alumide? I haven't checked lately.

PWheeler, they may have reprinted yours because mine was so Fugly.

I'm not sure what's happened. The last email I got from Andrew said they would start a UPS inquiry. In other words, nobody knows. It still shows in print, the estimated shipping date just keeps moving up a day, everyday. I just wrote them back and said if they can't ship tomorrow, can we just cancel and I'll either start all over or take advantage of Shapeways 10% off. I really don't know what's going on over there, nor can I get any kind of real answer either.

I oddly got a box from them today and wasn't expecting one. Inside was a single, 18650 Peko top cap. No idea why, although now I want to go check my other new 18650 prints to make sure they are all there and look right...

P- there is definitely something going on. I am in no way trying to push your buttons, but I ordered my 4th Peko on economy the day before you did, and I got that print 2 weeks later. THEN, i just ordered a Gdna 4.2 large screen print last week on economy. And that just shipped today!! Like I said, not trying to irritate you AT ALL. Just simply saying they did something wrong with your order and they need to fix it and give you a credit. Or some money back. Its B.S!

I think the prints are actually not too bad, i don't personally have any but I've heard they got a bad wrap from slow printing/ processing and the prints come dusty and with more print lines.. the dust can be washed/ cleaned off and the print lines can be sanded down... I'd say go for it.

I have heard this too but the last few prints I've seen in the last month or so have been better. And I also hear they picked their pace up.. we shall see, if Dhaiken and Pwheeler purchase prints from them.

My grey polished was the same. I had to paint it to even out the colour. My first peko so assumed this was just how they came

Post #1123 caused a lot of people to avoid Shapeways. The quality kept getting worse and worse. The delivery times were troublesome as well.

It may be getting better, I don't know but after seeing the picture on the above referenced post I personally did not want to take a chance.

I just placed my first order with Shapeways. Decided to take advantage of their 10% off code. If I ever get the one from Sculpteo, then great, I'll have 4 Pekos, but I'll have to order a new hardware kit. I went back to post #1123 and that did look bad, but I've seen pics of others and they looked great. I'm taking my chances with it. I hate having this problem with Sculpteo as the first order I had with them was perfect. I'm thinking that they just lost the order or something, but just wish they would do something! I'm wondering if calling their US number will yield any results. Might try that today.

No idea yet if I'll even build the two I bought from them, but if I do and decide to buy printed for my other 2 kits I'll be looking at other sources after what you are going through with Sculpteo's song and dance man.

Mistakes are inevitable in any business, it's how they handle it that can make or break a company. Sculpteo has really dropped the ball on yours Paul, sorry your having to deal with it.

Thanks guys, but I don't want to discourage anyone from using Sculpteo if it's working for you. Like I said, my first one went off without a hitch. This one may very well be an isolated incident, but it's true, how they handle the screwup tells the story. This has been a bad experience for me this time, and now I am concerned about their print quality starting to suffer as is the case with dhaiken's print. If they're having issues, a good company will let everyone know, and not leave them in the dark.

Go ahead and build them. If you decide you want more of them, then go either way. I ordered white polished from Shapeways and it's supposed to be shipped on the 27th. I'll see how their timeliness and then print quality is at the end of the month. I'm hoping to get something resolved today from Sculpteo, one way or the other.

Paul, half of the reason I dove into the Pekos in the first place was to run 22mm atty's on since I don't like them on my Reos. Have bought quite a few 22mm but don't really like any of them that much, hate some of them, so recently put buying anymore of them on hold. Sort of eliminates that half of the need for Pekos. The other half was to test run new joose with, but that has also been covered by the 5 new Reos I just bought. I may still build one just to try them out since I have the stuff. See how that goes before deciding on the 2nd and other 2 kits. But unlike with many of you no Peko will replace any of my Reos no matter how good it works simply because they are plastic and I am not a fan of plastic anything. Right now I'm too busy anyway with the new Reos, 4 new Chalice and 2 more Nuppin' atty's that are all destined to be daily drivers.

My goodness, you've been accumulating quite a load of stuff! I was on the Chalice list and opted to let it go, primarily, I couldn't afford such a high priced atty, and another, I'm not a MTL vaper. I really like my 22mm attys, especially the lower profile ones like the Derringer and Freakshow minis. I do love my Reos, but can't afford so many. I have 3 now. Hopefully I'll have more in time. For me, these Pekos are excellent little mods. They're very durable for being plastic and I don't worry about pocketing them. If I should damage a body or top cap, it's easily replaced. They hit really well. I hope to eventually have enough mods to house at least all of my favorite attys.

I changed my tune about plastic! Spydro might be pleasantly surprised as I was. Don't get me wrong, I still love my Reos and will always have them, but I'm loving these Pekos too[emoji57]
