and...I tried to learn to wind coils....seems I'm not very patient...snort....I'd probably hurt myseld
Just takes a little practice. If you get a super harsh vape the coil positioning is poor in related to the air flow. I say that cause I bought a dripper and decided it wasn't for me. I spent so much time on making sure it was safe I didn't know how to make it functional.

see...this is why I hang out here! My guy at my vape shop tried to teach me...but I was distracted. I could probably learn if I cut back on my nic and caffeine...lol! I guess I just love my little puffers that require no thought!

and there is nothing wrong with that :) there are so many great tanks out there that take the blister pack coils now. I mainly stick to that anymore vs build my own which I used to do exclusively, but, it is not a bad idea considering the looming regulations to learn how to build your own just in case you need to.

When I first got interested in it, just watching someone else do it didn't relieve any of the mystery; I had to actually do it myself a few times, make a few really UGLY!!! coils and ugly attachments, to really "get" it... It's a physical skill like typing or swinging a bat... until you know how, it seems very mysterious, but once you do it yourself a bit, it's not a big thing at all.

And some of my coils and mountings are STILL ugly, but they vape very nicely, so who cares what they look like, right? :D

The learning curve can be tough. Once I learned how to rebuild well I spend less time on maintenance then I ever did with tanks. On the flip side I can choose to spend some serious time trying fancy new coil builds for kicks and giggles. More importantly you've found a vape that works for you

I spend VERY little time on maintenance, other than rewicking every 24-30 hrs -- the price of a super-gunker juice! But i seldom replace coils, unless they just don't vape well anymore -- not that it's hard, I'm just lazy. :D I had a couple of 29ga coils that I made last July, that lasted till sometime in November before the vape quality fell off. :)
