New to Provari and was wondering if the hippo was the only decent ring with airflow control because I can't seem to find anything in stock anywhere, am gonna be using aspire bdc and protanks until I grow a pair and jump into the rebuilding pool......

Ibtanked has one with airflow, but check back on this thread as Darkgear posted a very detailed write up on them..we are also patiently waiting on a new one from Innovape that will be in stock this week at Vapor Labs that shows great promise. Those are the only ones I know of, maybe someone else will chime in.

I have 2 hippos and they work great, they are worth the price. At some point, I will get a few more. I saw yesterday that the brass ones, were in stock, and had to force my self to hold off. I like the other rings, that don't have the controller as well, but these are my favorites. :)

If you must have AFC then Bones is right ~ Hippo v2 is the way to go Fit for every Atty, looks neat, performs perfectly and doesn't scrape the Provari's top-cap.

I wish I could find a beauty ring for like a buck. I thought maybe an automotive spacer might do it. I can't see paying more than 5 bucks for an accessory like this, especially considering the only reason I want one is due to the russian 91% I have coming. The coned one Id buy if it wasn't for the cone. With the russian I don't need any airflow control from the ring. Grrr. Makes me wish I had a lathe and a small billet of aluminum.

True.
Except for the Hippo v2 none of them are worth the money they are charging! Especially the Loki Delrins, which should be max $5 each.

But then everything vape related is expensive (sans the China clones off course)... and we could expect that being yet in the nascent stage. Hopefully 2014 shall see lot better prices ~ we having come of age since 2013, the epic year for vaping!
