Problem refilling cartomizers!

I have the Smoke 51 Duo and while it's not the best E-cig out there, the carts are very similar to the VaporKing carts so I've watched a lot of refilling videos using the condom method and etc. The problem I have is when I refill my carts, they don't want to draw. I can take a perfectly good cart that's working fine until it runs low, I use the condom method and do 10-15 drops and when I put the cart back on the battery, I can't even get it to draw, it feels like it's too full of juice and clogged up or something, so I've tried using less liquid, spinning the cart so that the liquid all runs towards the battery end, etc, and nothing is working. What's the deal here? Sometimes it won't draw at all and then I'll get this bursting feeling and the juice will burst into my mouth, which is a horrible taste!! I don't know what I could be doing wrong, as I'm following the EXACT instructions I've watched time after time on Youtube. Anyone have this same experience, and/or any suggestions as to what else I could try? Thanks in advance for any replies!!

Honestly, matt, that's one of the reasons that I moved to atty/carts instead of cartomizers. Same issue. However, I did find after a while that I had less of that happening if the cartomizer had a soft cap and I popped that off and dripped into the cartomizer till just full but not pooling - and carefully dripped down the sides and not the center. I also managed to resurrect a couple of cartomizers that had too hard of a draw by *carefully* pushing an unbent paperclip through the battery end until I could just see it at the top of the filler, and then wiggle it around a little bit, thus opening up the middle of the filler. But be really careful! It is easy to damage the coil while doing this. If you push the paperclip through and feel very much resistence, stop. Back off a little, wiggle it a bit, and try again.
