I got my RM2 today as well, and it's built the same way. One post taller than the other and one hole of ample size and the other hole nearly microscopic.

I was able to fit 30 gauge Kanthal through the tiny hole though and the atty seems to be working fine, but I do need a magnifying glass to be able to thread it though.

I wonder what the posts are made of? Coated brass? Would it be as easy to ream that hole out as it is to ream out the air hole on the cover?

I am going to check the holes on my new RM2. Today I got a magnifier thing so I can actually see! Also picked up a LED light.

Next time I build coils I will be all set to get a view without the fuzzy wire!

I have a dremmel with some reemer points I was going to ream the air hole anyway I may try it on the tall post. Oh and good pics Josh mine is the same but its kicking out clouds now anyway.

Thanks, Douglas! :)

I decided to just go ahead and built a micro coil using 28awg a1 kanthal with cotton @ 1 - 1.2 ohms. It was a pain to feed the wire through the longer post with the small hole since the holes on both posts are not facing in the direction. After I was able to feed it through I used a long nose pliers to pull the wire and position my coil.

The flavor is really good and the air draw is just perfect. The flavor is on par with my A7 in but smoother. It's just perfect! :)

All the new rm2s are like that the taller post has a smaller hole . I have tested it with all kinds of wire it works fine . The company that makes these atomizer seems to always change things

Rob, the RM2 has become one of the most popular RDAs in the sub-ohm community, and not just on REOs. It's used with single wire as thick as 24 AWG and with dual coil (two wire/post) setups, and the posts needs to accommodate those if it's to continue to be popular in this market segment.

so I got my RM2 in the mail today and was sooo happy now I can get THAT vape but it looks like I have a problem maybe I'm crazy but I can only find a coil hole on 1 post the shorter one I don't see a hole in the taller post is it there and im not seeing it? I dunno but I'm trying to work out something did this happen to anyone else?

The 2 posts are simply threaded in. Each post is a different length and each actually has different threads. I've taken mine apart but just be aware if you do this.

It is not easy to get back together for some. Once you "think" you have it back together right. Test it on a non REO first otherwise it could cause a hard short and collapse your spring. Don't ask me how I know just trust me on this.

I'm no expert but it sounds like something in the assembly with posts being in wrong areas perhaps. I also noticed prior to ripping mine all the way down my posts were walking w/ the ceramic dish away from the hole. I've just been doing too many coils in too short of a time I suppose.

Sorry Rob didn't mean to start a big hubbub about the deal I already made my airhole 1/16 because that's where I like it, still wondering if it would hurt anything to ream out the big pole hole to make it a little more user friendly I think I'm going to have to go down on my juice nic content because i'm all nicked up at 18.

I can see this is going to be a issue I tested the units with 30/32/and 28 gauge wire . Looks like I will be drilling these out

WHEW!!! i'm glad you told us that! i've only got five RM2's and i need more as back ups but didn't know what to do as i couldn't ream out a bigger hole even if I had the tools!

Ummm...never mind...I don't do dual coils or any fancy stuff, so I'm good...

Ummm...as usual, i'm at my dumbest when I'm trying to be funny! ^^^^^^

I will reem them all out I had no idea folks would be tossing themselves in the dirt . I understand some folks dont have tools to do so I dont expect people to have to modify something I sell .

I like the idea of a taller post but that hole I don't think I'd be able to get the wire through.
