Single coil yeah i dry burned it.. whats ramp time though.. sorry i am very new to all of this.
Ramp up time is how long it takes for the coil to come up to temperature . You've got a lot of wire in that build , it's gonna take awhile to heat up and cool down , If you're gonna run at 1.2 ohms 28ga would be a better choice . I think your first build was fine , you just need to get your wicking down pat .

Yeah it is at the bottom. i just bought this wire though and already spent so much money on juices..and other stuff... its a hobby now and im sure you all know how it is. I will eventually buy a different size. See i thought it was the way i built that first coil but i guess it was the wick.. i enjoy building them so later I'll try that again..lol

Baditude would be the guy to explain step down clearly, but basically if you have a 4.2v battery and you are trying to deliver anything lower than that, devices without step down will still send 4.2v.

With the build you described at .8Ω, firing it at 16 watts means you WANTED to send 3.6(ish)v to the coil, but without step down, you were still sending 4.2v (22 watts),
