Just my 2 cents...

With the Original V1 / 901 atty: 3.7V 3000mah 18650
" " " " / 801 atty: 2 X 3.0V 1400mah rcr123a

At least that was my planned setup if I had stayed with the original V1.

Mike

Mike, Amp hours does not increase like voltage when batts are inline. So it would be 6v (max's out at roughly 7.4v) at 750mAh (not doubling to 1500mAh) ...

Hi Strat...

Where did you find rcr123a 3.0v 1400mah at? I found cr123's but they are not rechargeable.

The highest I have seen in an RCR is 1000/1100 per battery.

DOH!!!
Sorry guys, My bad. I'll edit my post to avoid further confusion. I posted that reply based on a link in my Fav's folder that I had collected while researching various batteries. It was in fact a CR123a not an RCR123a.

Actually, It was the 18350's that I was planning on trying before all the concern arose re. the higher voltages. I think they were 3.7V's though and 1200mah? Dunno... deleted alot of battery links from my Fav.s after Steve sold me on the idea of the protection circuitry in the new V1.
