This ones for you Di ;)

from a GG owner and user --

if you want the best device, (owner opinion ... and 90% of the owners opinion when they get a new device)
hand crafted excellence (and the Prodigy isn't?)
simplicity of design and (then why the added expense?)
excellence of manufacture (basement full of tools?)
no solder, no breakable parts (got the no solder correct, but haven't there already been button issues?)
will last a lifetime (make sure to post back when you're 95 ;))
choice of size models (as the Prodigy will be as well)
superb vapour production on all models (which 90% of vaporizers do)
choice of different battery sizes and strengths (Prodigy - Check)
choice of different adapters for different attys (Prodigy - Check)
looks sleek and sensuous (And scratched after a weeks use)
great throat hit (any 5v+ mod or pv will)
terrific flava enhancement of juice (might need to see a plastic surgeon for that one!)
total satisfaction of your non-smoking experience (Great!)

See RED ;)

I appologuise if I was out of line with my post,
altho I do not see how,
as I said, I blundered in here to answer a members question,
not realizing it was in your forum.

There is difference between an *honest* review, and a *biased* review. The above is of biased opinion on the GG ;) No harm, no foul Di ... I've known you and seen your posts long enough to know when you get strung out on a single vendor/member/etc... you'll go through hell and back and die for them.

FWIW, not owning either, I *am* interested, maybe, in the GG nano. Realistically, none of these devices are 'rocket science,' but they are both in their own ways similar but different 'works of art and design' in their own right, even if they effectively do the same thing.

Connect a constant NvDC battery source with the same throughput capacity, to the same atomizer, and no surprise, performance will be quite similar, I'd say 'nearly identical.' There are minor variations in batteries used, and in some cases, voltage, as well as runtime, plus some different atty choices, and sizing/ergonomics plus visuals for individual tastes.

I'd personally *prefer* the button placement as on the Prodigy, but right now, I'd prefer a smaller device. Both GG and the Prodigy have gone through multiple revisions, and well...I kinda prefer powdercoat or anodized over something to be held in the hand for periods of time. Try an uncoated car shifter in your hand in 90*+ summers, or freezing winters to understand why a bit..plus the visual. I also tend to think somewhere around a constant (long mAh, good output power source, protected) 5v is likely around the 'sweet spot,' some may prefer 'the highest output possible.'

Dunno. Steve mentioned a mini. Now, if he'd make it, add on a battery box add-on to the USB PT, and a mini-USB into the Prodigy series, you've got a pretty kickass, modular system that adapts to multiple device atomizers, and looks pretty cool.

Hey, I can dream, right? :D

"no solder, no breakable parts (got the no solder correct, but haven't there already been button issues?)"

Just wanted to address this part of your reply. The button has been changed a couple of times. There was nothing wrong with the first one, Imeo just wanted something that could stand the test of time. Nothing is immortal, but there is not a whole lot that can break on the GG. I imagine there are more parts on the prodigy that can fail than the GG. I am sure the prodigy will be great as well. Plus you don't have to mail it back to Greece if you do have a problem, as someone pointed out earlier.

If I was in the market, I would probably get a prodigy. I hope that both the prodigy and the GG have a successful long run. Both makers seem like nice guys who are trying to create a product that they themselves would use. Some people are only driven by profit, but both the guys at puresmoker and the guys at GG seem to be primarily driven to put out a good product. Hopefully along the way they will make a couple bucks as well. There's room for everyone. Cheers.

P.S. I pre-ordered a usb passthrough from puresmoker a few weeks past. I am surprised there hasn't been more chatter about it. I have been looking for a usb passthrough for months and haven't found anything that seemed like it would last the test of time. Puresmokers' seems to be a bit more rugged with a simpler design (less to go wrong). Not to mention the price $30. That's about a third of the price of the one at eastmall, which seems to be the best aside from janty's kissbox (which is way overpriced). I would easily have spent $60 instead of $30 and felt like I was getting a good deal. The prodigy has a nice price point as well.

I would like to say a big heart warming THANK YOU to Cancer, really thank you. It really lifts my spirits very much to see such a nice comment :):):)

This is not a war in my opinion, I don't have any hard feelings to anyone when it comes down to suppliers, members, modified cigarettes and all of e-cigs in general.
Yes I am in love with the GG and it grows daily by amazing innovations. Creations of anyone's will always be remarkable in everyone's book.

One of the main reason for GG's price is because it is backed by a solid 2 year warranty if anything were to go wrong. Imeo did end up constructing his own buttons.

Whereas the Prodigy is backed by only 6 months.

One of the main issues when delving into the world of e-cigs is investments, investments in atomizers to batteries to juice to cartridges, to brands and everything else in between. We all have our newfound loves, oldtime favorites and futures to look forward to.
The ultimate decision will always fall into the user's hands.

Best advice is always to look ahead. Read, review, and read again.
Whatever you pick in the end if you love it or hate it, we're always behind you here;)

your welcome. Your review was Excellent, and had i found it sooner..i would not have bought a vaporking or a dse-901. I would have a kissbox and a GG:D Anyway, Steve you really got to "Bang the Drums', in regards to the Prodigy being in the U.S. It seems lost on me that costs being equal, someone would choose a foreign vape over a domestic. The fact that your 40$ to 60$ lower and with a proven record of customer service + THE BEST E LIQUID makes it even more daunting. Yet as I stated thats why i pre-ordered...Your track record made it EASY. Your passthroughs and adapters are even more of a menace for the competition, yet we still need to vape it, to "Annoint" it better than the GG and the others.:)

A: Thanks for clearing the air on that drum :) I really knew nothing of the button issue until is was mentioned somewhere in my subforum as I don't follow the GG path at all. That entire post was more to poke some fun at Di, more than anything else ... lol ... She's got a lively spirit :D

If I was in the market, I would probably get a prodigy. I hope that both the prodigy and the GG have a successful long run. A: VERY very true ... And I appreciate that post. Too many people are set on proving that such and such a device is better than blah blah blah ... It gets quite annoying after a while. Each device has their own set of Pros/Cons and luckily, the ecig market is big enough to allow for everyone :)

P.S. I pre-ordered a usb passthrough from puresmoker a few weeks past. I am surprised there hasn't been more chatter about it. I have been looking for a usb passthrough for months and haven't found anything that seemed like it would last the test of time. A: Haha, we'll I hope you enjoy it Drum! Should be a great hit I'm hoping!

    See RED :)

On another note: I see in the puresmoker threads that people are talking about a 5v option for the prodigy. How is this attained?

This isn't actually any *option* anymore, it comes standard as such. If people want to go the 6v+ route, we can option that for them so they can harness the batteries full power. I advice NOT to use some of the smaller atomizers at 6v+ however. 5v is achieved with an added resistor.

One of the main reason for GG's price is because it is backed by a solid 2 year warranty if anything were to go wrong. Imeo did end up constructing his own buttons.
A: Are you sure its not a lifetime warranty ??? :D ;) (poking fun at Di once again :p)

I still want to try a VaporKing so don't spoil it for the rest of us Cancer :D There should be no *annointing* per say Cancer, because I really don't feel any device should be crowned as the #1 device of all time ... Greedieness comes to play when titles and such representations start being given. I would just be happy knowing the Prodigy was able to make someone happy and hopefully keep them off the cancer sticks that much longer!

I like the VK, it really a nice package and Smilin is a really cool and engaging person. That being said, the supply issues that drove you to make the Prodigy, really hurt him deeply. PM me if you would like a short review. Best of luck with that "RAWHIDE/Blazing Saddles Color":D after seeing that I may retract my objections to a DW color scheme now:p
