I'm a newbie only having used the 901. Liked it at first, beginning to hate it. Still smoking cigs. Have read a lot of good things about Prodigy.
Some quick questions, if you don't mind, to save me a few hours of reading....

How finnicky is this thing? Does it need a lot of fixing, cleaning, a lot of work to get it going?

Should I get a V1 or wait for V2? What's the diff?

Where can I view a size comparison photo of the Prodigy?

I realize a lot of places sell the same liquids simply repackaged. I've tried bestecig and eastmall which are exactly the same in my opinion. True Vapor's marlboro tatses diff than those 2. Is the CaSH liquid the same or diff?
(would like to try out some more tobacco flaves eventually)

The one thing with the Prodigy, is because it is 5 volts, it is hard on atomizers. Whether you use 801's or 901 atomizer, it can kill them more easily than small battery PV's. I would have plenty of extra atomizers with this PV. This would probably be the same with any 5v+ unit.

Note: in fact, I prefer the 801 atomizer with the PD over the 901 because the cart is bigger. So if you were only going to get one with only one adaptor, I would recommend the 801.

Down the rabbit hole..
Whata gem

The Prodigy is not like other vaporizers in that you don't have to be constantly fiddling with it! The batteries on the 801 last me 6 1/2 to 7 hrs of constant vaping. As far as losing atomizers, I think if you take care of them you don't lose any more at 5v than at 3,you just can't let them get too hot, you need to blow them out every once in awhile and let them drain threads up over night.

PS juice is without a doubt the best on the market-that being said-you will find with the Prodigy all juice will taste better! I find that juice I found tasteless before I now like using it with my Prodigy I guess the 5v is truly the "sweet" spot Steve talked about when it comes to bringing out the flavor of the juice. The Prodigy also has a throat hit the closest to an analog I've seen. I hope this helps you-I know all this gets overwhelming at times-Good luck!

I have a .......ized npro and used a different juice source, for 2 months couldnt quit smoking and almost gave up vaping. I got the 901 prodigy and true menthol 24mg as soon as I tried it a huge smile came over my face:w00t: and I havent gone smoked an analog since. I ordered 3 extra atty's and I'm still on the first one.:thumb: I'm on a fixed budget at the moment and it was the best purchase I've made in a while. Never going back

edit: hey Steve, could I get a PS smokefree banner like Cancer's Totally Wicked one?

hey mmm ...

1. Janty 801 atty's *should* work ... I don't see why not? The only Pen atomizer I know for a fact doesn't work is the M201 and that is because it draws all of its air through the battery and threads.

2. I only recommend dripping ... for all atomizers on the Prodigy's :) The unit is completely sealed, and puddles in the adapter of the Prodigy. Dry off when you start to see excess and you are good to go.

3. The 801 atty is the best atty for the Prodigy IMO. 901 functions much like the 510, and I believe they even carry a similar resistance (roughly 2.5ohms) while the 801 has a resistance of roughly 3.5ohms. It will take a little while to figure out how to use a 901 and/or 510 with higher voltage, but can easily be done. I got pretty good at the 901 even at 6v+ and now using a 901 on 5v is cake.

Hope that helps mmm :) I saw you were waiting on the 510 adapters, etc... We likely won't carry a 501 *kit* per say ... So, if I were you, I get in line as quickly as possible before the list grows. Maybe get an 801 kit with the 510 adapter (which are infact available for preorder through PS)

Sorry for the long post ... hope that helps answer your questions :)

thanks Cash I was thinking that was the case. As far as the 510 vs 801 is concern. So the 801 atty is the way to go. I checked out my janty 801 and the air intake holes are in the threading. also on the head of the threading the number is 0309.
I have the janty stick ( sorry for talking about a different product) which takes these attys. the housing department for the atty is sealed but have had leakage so that is still debatable.
All the janty stick is good for is for long distant trip in the car because of the passthrough capibilities.....other than that it just doesn't seem worth it.....i bet your passthrough works better than this.
anyway sorry for talking about the Janty stick Im just very unhappy with it. Anyway I hope the janty 801 attys work...those things are expensive and hate to see them waisted. thanks again for your answering back quickly.:thumb::D

Down the rabbit hole..
mmm-i haven't tried the janty 801 attys but I've tried various attys from different suppliers all of them different (4 of them so far) and they all work). The ones from PS are the best ,they are specially made 3 hole, but they all have worked that I have tried so far. AS far as long road trips-I haven't got my PT yet-but with one set of batteries lasting 6-7hrs of constant vaping (a car charger to charge batteries (only takes 1 1/2-2h to charge) you can do a whole lot of vaping on car trips without worry! As far as the puddling Steve is talking about-every couple of hours I take my atty off and wipe the adaptor with a paper towel-I haven't found it to be a big prob-I blow my atty out at the same time. I hope this helps! The Prodigy, in my opinion, is one product that is truly worth the money!!! It is made to last, not cheap, plastic like most are. I would buy it again!

hey violet i agree with you. I made the mistake on getting the Janty Stick....I should have just waited for the prodigy. But at least I have an okay passthrough with the Janty stick. So that will be my back up on long trips.....I still love my 510 for the old habbit but I think the prodigy is going to be the winner.....and if he comes out with a smaller one Ill get that one to replace my 510......thanks cash
