Hi,

I have been e-smoking and analogue free since August 5th of 09. I used to use the JOYE510, then switched to a DSE901 for the battery life. Recently, my DSE901 has been producing ZERO throat hit, and I'm getting close to buying a pack of cigarettes again. Now, I have a few questions.

I am a college student with little money, and the Prodigy seems like a lot of money to throw down, but I hear it is well worth it. I do most of my vaping in my apartment, but do a bit of vaping on campus at school in between classes.

What I am wondering is, which should I get? I am looking for a harsh throat hit, because I have missed that feeling with this crappy 901. Is the usb pass a 5 volt? And can the prodigy v2 be hooked up to a usb port? I am planning on placing an order in a couple of days, but just had a few questions first.

The V2 currently doesn't have a USB insert option, but i am sure Steve is cooking something up.

The USB pass is technically 5v while not underload, but underload you actually get about 4.3v.

The V2 will be about 5.5 while not underload, and around 4.8ish while underload.

I would say go with the V2.

Edit: Underload = power actually going through the atomizer.
Not under load = power going to the atomizer...not all this power actually passes through though.

Actually, the Prodigy V2 runs at about 5.15 volts under load. Here's a link to the load testing results for all of the Puresmoker devices:
