Please remember the flavorings we use outside of tobacco and menthol are candy and food flavors. So unless they ban all forms of homemade candy they can't ban the flavorings, just they might not be marketed as vape flavors.

Error

Error

Error 22, Vaper only faking baking vanilla cake, without buying flower too. Vaper must be terminated :D

Considering Portland is the microbrew capital, perhaps it's time to push for tobacco and menthol only beer. Or better yet, make it all as bland and boring as PBR since that is what the kiddies are playing beer pong and flippy cup with these days.

You wouldn't want the kiddies getting a hold of a bottle of strawberry porter, now would ya

Error 33

System error 33 notes Vaper not considering the wads of cash stuffed down the pants of Portland reps, till the pants split in half, not from the girth but by the sheer force of cash ripping zippers open.

System suggest keeping eye on vapor for more evaluation.

In other news, amateur candy makers are on the rise. Major candy corporations like Mars and Nestle fear going bankrupt and are teaming up with the FDA to regulate flavorings currently available to the public.

Error code 999

System Error code 999. System can't handle being exposed. Vaper trying to point out hypocrisy in system. Said food colorings have killed 4 elephants, 4,356 monkeys, 3 dogs, 4 cats, and one parakeet in the last 2 days. All FDA approved.

System recommends immediate termination of vaper.

It sounds like it's preventing the sale of flavored pre mixed eliquid, nothing against buying the components and diying... That said, I didn't read it :)

I read it and it explicitly bans the sale of flavors used for making e-liquid.

Edit: I retract this statement. I've reread the bill more carefully, and now I'm not sure either way.

Go home, johnny madman, you're drunk. :toast:

Have you been drinking your alcohol based food flavorings again?

You're supposed to put those in the eliquids candy.

Just for everyone's information, the bill is about prohibiting sale of flavored e-liquids, not the flavorings themselves.

Maybe you're right, but I've highlighted the relevant parts below that lead me to think this would also cover flavors sold by companies such as TFA, WizardLabs, MFS, etc.:

(b)(A) “Flavored inhalant delivery system product” means a component of an inhalant
delivery system or a substance in any form sold for the purpose of being vaporized or
aerosolized by an inhalant delivery system, whether the component or substance is sold
separately or is not sold separately, that has been manufactured to impart a characterizing
flavor
.
(B) “Flavored inhalant delivery system product” does not include any product that has
been approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration for sale as a tobacco
cessation product or for any other therapeutic purpose.
(c) “Flavored tobacco product” means a tobacco product, or a component of a tobacco
product
, that has been manufactured to impart a characterizing flavor.
(d) “Inhalant delivery system” means a device that can be used to deliver nicotine in the
form of a vapor or aerosol to a person inhaling from the device.
(2) A person may not distribute, sell or allow to be sold a flavored tobacco product or a
flavored inhalant delivery system product in this state.
(3) The Oregon Health Authority may impose a civil penalty of up to $5,000 for each violation
of this section. All moneys collected pursuant to this subsection shall be deposited in
the Oregon Health Authority Fund established under ORS 413.101 and are continuously appropriated
to the authority for the purpose of carrying out the duties, functions and powers
of the authority under this section.

So if there's a grocery cashier you really dislike you can turn them in for selling you vanilla flavoring. I now find it embarrassing that I was born in that state. Have you seen the terror threats lately? They think food flavoring is an emergency?

No I have not but dgm76513 has some candy for all of us...system approved.

Radiation checked, NSA approved, food coloring safe as per the same FDA. ( wink )

So, are there any e-liquid companies in Oregon? I hope they're fighting this tooth and nail.

Also, I consider gummy bear to be a tobacco flavor, if you disagree I invite you to prove otherwise.

Also also, anyone else notice they specifically protected BP's "non-tobacco" flavored nicotine delivery systems?

Please, no ideas. When power, control and taxation are the goal, nothing is beyond those who care deeply about our welfare.

I don't know if there are any big ones, but there are a lot of mom-and-pop shops in the Portland area. Well, for a while anyway. I imagine a large percentage of their revenue is from the recurring e-liquid sales, and if they're mostly limited to one-time mod and atty sales, that probably won't be enough to carry the business.
