With any BCC, Your going to find good and bad. I've been using the Protank1 for around 5-6 months now.. Changed more than a couple of wicks in them. Some people have them leak all over. I've never had an issue. Remember these things are cranked out by the hundreds every day, maybe more. I've seen my fair share of poor manufacturing from ALL the Chinese manufacturers. Why should they care about quality. Not their problem. That's why their sold as DOA. :2c:

While those look reasonably similar, I've assumed from the subject line that we are talking about Kanger Protanks.

That was my initial plan. But I also did ask for any other clearomizer suggestions in that first post as well. As I said, I am still learning and I am open to suggestions.

I did just get done trying a buddy's mechanical just a few minutes ago. It was my first go with someone rebuilding their own coils, a mech mod, and a full on nice drip system. I really enjoyed that experience. In the very near future I am certain I will be asking a lot of questions about that type of set up for home.

I agree with you SonHouse. The PT2 is still my favorite.

Personally, I've tried all of them and the PT2 still is the best in my opinion. Neither the BDC or PT3 seem to offer enough of an improvement in flavor to justify their higher coil cost. The Kanger single coils can be rebuilt to improve their flavor over either of the stock dual coils while using less power for less money. The Davide is large and offers capacity improvements over the PT2 but I prefer the PT2's size and better build quality. Drives me nuts having the drip tips fall out of my Davides.

I am wondering if the dual coil heads couldn't be rebuilt single coil. If so it won't stop anyone rebuilding. I'd have to see one taken apart but looking at it from the outside in photos it looks possible.

I got the impression the dual coil that fits the protank 3 is physically bigger to accommodate two coils.

The the old coil heads there isn't much room inside there to hold 2 coils.

Even so it should be possible to rip it apart when it dies and set it up with a single coil if you wick it right I would think.

    No you can't
I love and use the Protank 1 and 2 don't care for the Protank 3 with the new coils only adds to the confusion. I'm waiting to order the new kanger tank that comes with adjustable airflow controller for me it's worth the wait.

So the consensus is the Davide tank is significantly better? What is the difference between the Davide and the Aspire? Since it seems users of the Protank like these units better, could someone offer their opinion of the Davide compared to the Aspire?

    Anyvape Davide Glassomizer BCC 3.0ml w/ 2 Coils - CLEAR [gv-AnyVapeDavide-CLEAR] - $18.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

Aspire Vivi Nova BDC GLASS Tank

I assume these are the units that are being discussed. The Davide looks like it comes apart completely for easier cleaning. But the Aspire in black will look awesome with the black eVic. I might snag one of each for a goof, but the goal is really to buy a few of one tank and keep them loaded with my juices for the day. I like to keep 3 tanks in rotation over the course of the day. Sorry for the n00bish questions, but frankly I am a n00b.

I know it is all subjective, but if the majority likes one over the other I am comfortable with the purchase.

I have a PT2, & absolutely love it. no leaks. u can't go wrong. I've looked at the Davide but I like to change tips. that's the only thing for me.

the Pt3 can use the same single coil that the Pt1 and pt2 use.

    THATS MY POINT.

It is because they MISLABEL their product that some many of us misunderstand the product.

I am sure they would have sold alot more PT3s if people knew their old coils would work.

What Kanger did was they designed a new coil for it and marketed the package as a dual coil, but I keep hearing from users that they can take the old coil too.

They can take the old coils, but the new coils don't fit the old ones.
