So I'm starting out on our family xmas adventure (travelling all over for the next two weeks) and had my protege 808 adapter shipped to our first destination (had to switch addresses before the order was sent, thanks casey! sorry for all the hassle!) and my new protege 808 adapter was waiting for me. Woohoo!!!
It looks great of course, pretty standard for adapters. Before I was using the 510 to 808 adapter from altsmoke and it was a little airy and regular 510 attys and dripping which I became a little tired of after the first couple weeks. This adapter is great, a little lighter than the ace but not too noticeable to me, I'm already used to it and love the draw. Incredible throat hit, the vapor production is a little lighter than dripping on the 510, but for me it's all about that throat hit. I can produce huge clouds of vapor if I prime it a couple of times and if I can stand the throat hit that accompanies it. Love the fact that there is no cutoff now as with there was with the ace. I'm extremely excited because now I have the power of the protege with the convenience of the ace.
The only issue I've found so far is that my post on the adapter seems to be ever so slightly crooked, but I imagine that this is probably a per adapter issue and it doesn't effect the use in any way really.
anyways, LOVE IT!!! Steve, Casey and crew (if there is a crew out there) good work per usual. This is why I love PureSmoker, everything they do just seems to work! Only thing I need now is my mechanical switch which should be waiting in the mail when I get home from this whirlwind tour.
