Give the new atty a chance to break in. Usually by the third fill up, it starts to settle in.

Yeah, could be the atty needs to be broken in. You should definitely get a stronger throat hit than the 901. Maybe a little less on the flavor.
Then again, no 2 attys are the same. A few will just never work too well, especially at standard voltage. Save 'em for a 5v device.

I'm sure he'll put them through the ringer ... and then some !!!! I just had to break in a new 510 today ... Been using one that simply didn't hit well for the past couple weeks. Put out the correct resistance, just was real weak! Vaped the new 510 atty at 5v for about 15-20 minutes, then put the 18650 back in my Prodigy, and she's kickin good

on day 2 of full time protege vaping and the throat hit on a fresh batt is satisfying me so yeah my 510 is breaking in nicely
the flavor doesn't come through as much as I was used to, so that only means one thing.. time to order the 901 and 801 adapters for this baby. (is there a 401 adapter coming ?)
hope to see the new protege->usb passthrough devices hit the store soon so I can snag one along with the adapters
I love the versatility of this device. variety is the spice of life. funny, I never liked trying different flavors of analogs, if anything at all was different than my marb reds (draw, flavor, throat hit) I always hated it, but exploring all the available options in vaping is fun

I'm using a cart as we speak... uh, type....uh, read... carts are fine !!!!

Edited to add: I assume you mean add the filler material (fluval, etc) then liquid.
And it depends on what model you're using. The 901 and the 510 will work.
The 801 would require a cart/mouthpiece with the removable liquid container.

Got my protege today ..... tons of "smoke" and lots of flavor. Do I even need the rest of the pv's anymore?
What kind of atty is it? The 510s come with blanks you can put the filler of your choice in. With the 801 you have to drip or buy some cartridges. Not sure about the 901s
