Protege Question

Overall is it reliable or not? Everyday I keep seeing more and more people post button/switch issues everyday and am starting to seciond guess my faith in the product. On the avg how many per 100 are failing on people?
Last thing I want is an unreliable PV especially considering how important it is to me to remail analog free.

I'd like to get some reassuredness or I think I will just wait and cancel for the time being and get something I can count on.

Well, I got a Protege from the "second" batch after all the identified switch issues were found, returned, fixed and done - as Cash pointed out.

I've not have any issues with mine at all and love having it. I use it everyday when not plugged into my PC usb vape device.

In fact, I've ordered more batts so I can increase my vape time without any PC in sight.

I think the Proto is one of the best out of the gate for first run failures (being very low) and PS's service and support is 110% rock solid.

I don't think you'll be disappointed at all - IMHO.

I got a first run Protege and have had a couple of switch issues.
Both were handled quickly and very professionally.
It was a little disappointing/aggravating to have to deal with but, life happens and it's back now and working flawlessly.
I'd do it again, easily.... The ubber small size, simple design and performance is worth it to me.

I think you can have issues with any electric/electronic device no matter what batch its out of or who makes it. What matters most is how the mfg handles the issues and PS does an excellent job. You'd be hard pressed to find better customer service from anyone.

I am awaiting the 2 I ordered (preordered rather) still.

I know how you feel from seeing the posts on the switches, but I did the math and the percentage of failures to units sold is low. ( I recall somewhere around 25 failed due to a defect that was found and eliminated since)

The thing to consider is, people will post if something is wrong MUCH more often than they will come running in to post "OMG nothing is wrong!" or yell "WHY IS THING WORKING PEFECTLY?!" :D

After taking the above into consideration I placed my order for 2 :)

NightShadow is right. Too often we take the time to complain when something is wrong but fail to speak up when something is good. Like the Bible says in Proverbs 3:27 - "Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in your power to act."

I own two Proteges and recommend them highly. No problems with either one. I had a couple of questions and e-mailed them twice. The first time Casey replied within 30 minutes. The second time she replied in less than five minutes. I would be the first to say that the quality of their product is surpassed only by their superb customer service.
