I love your Prodigy, a2dcovert. I'm surprised how big it is compared to the Protege..
If the prodigy is a man, the protege is definitely a woman. Looks sexy even in a sub-perfect pic. I can't wait to get mine. I have not even bought anymore carts for my e9.

The Protege is extremely small.
Looking at it in the pics it's hard to imagine just how small it is.
The Prodigy is really not large at all. Fits the hand perfectly.
Great pair of PV's. The best I've owned..

anyone with a protege with an 801 atty attached? I haven't seen a pic of that yet. All i have seen so far is 901's and 510's.

looks cool , i just got a 5pack of SS attys from TW that will be going on my Protege' very soon

Ok, I absolutely have to ask.... There is something different about your Prodigy, Kevin... What is that extra wide black piece just below the adapter?

Ahh, ok... It is a sort of optical illusion. The way the switch is positioned in that pic makes the Prodigy look as though it has some sort of extra black ring attached where the adapter would normally go... I had to zoom in the image to see that it was just an illusion.
Nope. Even if the SS attys are there when they ship your PT, they are going to send you a black one. I asked Casey if I could get a SS atty with my Protege order since my order is a preorder and she said "No". They are going to eliminate their stock of black attys before opening the SS attys and distributing those. What is going to happen when they get rid of all the black ones and only have SS and someone wants a black one? Will be interesting to see.

d0kieSmok's method worked great for "making" a stainless steel atty.
Stick an old 510 battery (I used a working auto that was worthless) led side first into the chuck of a cordless drill for a makeshift lathe, screw on your black, silver, or titanium atty and just spin the drill while holding a piece of sandpaper against the atty . I used 220 grit to strip the black paint and 1000 grit to finish.
Took about a minute and it's the smoothest, shiniest thing in my house.
Stick an old 510 battery (I used a working auto that was worthless) led side first into the chuck of a cordless drill for a makeshift lathe, screw on your black, silver, or titanium atty and just spin the drill while holding a piece of sandpaper against the atty .
