when does it blink the white led then?

The white led is blinking only when you run out of battery

We have 3 lights:

the red that opens once and stays open for 1,2 sec that tell us that we vape lower than the desire temp
the green light that blinks 10 times and tell us that there is no liquid on wick
the white light that blinks 5 times and tell us that we run out of battery

ah sorry imeo i got confused :D. So when you say no liquid on wick, and then you get liquid, does turn back on again without re-pressing?

it desnt get back for a simple reason aal. When green light opens means that the current must be cut to prevent burn taste. So you have to repress, otherwise the burn taste will hit you.

VIR doesnt stop when:
While vaping, the liquid goes low on wick, so the smoke is low too. When you put liquid on wick (button is still pressed), VIR will start producing more smoke)

I will make an online guide that you can download it Jail :)

That's an excellent idea and also I suggest you to make a A4 page with simple instructions for every Proteus delivery, so some guys that don't read ECF can learn easily the functions.
It would be nice I think :)

So guys, is this a nice and very easy guide? Can you correct any of my grammar mistakes?

PROTEUS IS IN YOUR HANDS:

1. Install a battery by unscrewing the brass part. Screw the brass part again. If you see that battery is not making contact, please open the venting cap and adjust the small brass bolt inside it

2. wait 7 seconds until Proteus locks (you will see the green light blinking and then blue light will stay open for 1 second)

3. Put on the top of Proteus an atomizer made by Titanium grade 1 coil

4. Unlock Proteus by pressing the button quick 5 times. You will see a read light blinking slowly. Dont touch the device during this procedure. After blinking stops (in about 25 sec on a cold atomizer or in about 1 minute on a very hot atomizer), you will see an orange steady light that stays open for about 3 seconds and shows that auto detection function is finished.

5. Press the button to vape.

LIGHTS THAT WILL APPEAR DURING VAPING:

1 short red blink: You vape at lower temperature than your setup because battery cant handle the level of temperature

10 green fast blinks: Your atomizer is bad fed or its running out of liquid, so you have to refill it. Especially on GG atomizers, you can just open the liquid control. If the problem persists, you have to refill.

5 slow white blinks: You run out of battery. Change your battery or go to a lower temperature step. Soon your battery will stop functioning.

blue light that stays open for 1 second: Proteus is locked because you kept button pushed for more than 15 seconds. (Press button 5 times to unlock it)

10 red fast blinks: Short circuit, meaning that your atomizer has a very low resistance that Proteus cant handle, or your atomizer is shorting. Check your atomizer or make a new coil. Before you make a new coil, wash your atomizer under running water to remove any small pieces of wires that maybe shorting it

MENU:

Up menu - Increase temperature level: press button 3 times and keep it pressed for 1 sec. The red light will open steady. While its open, press the button 1 time to increase the temperature 10 Celsius degrees, 2 times for 20 Celsius degrees increase, etc

Down menu-Decrease temperature level: press button 4 times and keep it pressed for 1 sec. The green light will open steady. While its open, press the button 1 time to decrease the temperature 10 Celsius degrees, 2 times for 20 Celsius degrees decrease, etc

lock Proteus: press the button 5 times (blue light stays open for 2 seconds)

unlock Proteus: press the button 5 times (blue light blinks 3 times)

count the step of temperature: Go to the Up or Down menu and when the red or the green light opens, just leave the button. An orange light will start blinking slow, counting the steps of temperature

stop led blinking: push 1 time the button

CHANGING ATOMIZER:

If you want to vape again on the same atomizer (or without changing the coil on it), lock Proteus - put off the atomizer - put it again when you are ready. Unlock and vape

If you want to vape on a different atomizer (or on the same atomizer in witch you changed its coil), let Proteus lock by itself - put the new atomizer on it - unlock - wait until orange light opens (after 25 sec-1 min, depending of how cold or hot the atomizer is) and vape

CLEANING:

Keep threads and contacts clean, otherwise your Proteus will not work as you expect.

My corrections:

PROTEUS IS IN YOUR HANDS:

1. To install a battery, unscrew the brass part and insert an 14500 IMR battery, positive side up. Screw the brass part again. If the battery is not making contact, please unscrew the venting cap and adjust the small brass bolt inside it.

2. Wait 6 seconds until Proteus locks (you will see green light blinking a few times and then a blue light will stay on for 2 seconds).

3. Connect an atomizer on Proteus which has a Titanium grade 1 coil.

4. Unlock Proteus by pressing 5 quick times the button. You will have a red light blinking slowly. Dont interfere with the device during this procedure. After blinking stops (in about 25 sec on a cold atomizer or in about 1 minute on a very hot atomizer), you will have a fixed orange light that stays on for about 2 seconds and shows that auto detection function is finished.

5. Push the button to vape.

LIGHTS THAT WILL APPEAR DURING VAPING:

1 short red blink: You vape at lower temperature because battery cannot sustain the set temperature level.

10 green fast blinks: Your atomizer is bad fed or its running out of liquid, so you have to refill it. Especially on GG atomizers, you can just open the liquid control. If the problem persists, you have to refill.

5 slow white blinks: The charge in the battery is getting low and soon it will be discharged completely. Change your battery or go to a lower temperature step.

Blue light is steady on for 2 seconds: Proteus is locked because the button was pushed for more than 15 seconds (press button 5 times to unlock it).

10 red fast blinks: Short circuit, meaning that your atomizer has a lower resistance than VIR can handle, or your atomizer is shorting. Check your atomizer or make a new coil. Before you make a new coil, wash your atomizer under running water to remove any small pieces of wires that may be shorting it.

MENU:
Note: Maybe here is good to specify the range of the working temperature or if it remembers or not the temperature setting after battery is changed or other good to know information about the temperatures specifically.

Up menu - Increase temperature level: push 3 times and keep the button pushed for 1 sec. The red light will stay on. While its on, push the button 1 time to increase the temperature 10 Celsius degrees, 2 times for 20 Celsius degrees increase, etc

Down menu-Decrease temperature level: push 4 times and keep the button pushed for 1 sec. The green light will stay on. While its on, push the button 1 time to decrease the temperature 10 Celsius degrees, 2 times for 20 Celsius degrees decrease, etc

Lock Proteus: push the button 5 times (blue light stays on for 2 seconds)

Unlock Proteus: push the button 5 times (blue light blinks 3 times)

Check set temperature: Go to either the Up or Down menu and when either the red or the green lights turn on, release the button. An orange light will start blinking slowly, each blink indicating one step in temperature ( 10 Celsius degrees). The total number of blinks will let you know what temperature you are at.

Stop led blinking: push 1 time the button

CHANGING ATOMIZER:

If you want to vape again on the same atomizer (or without changing the coil on it), lock Proteus - disconnect the atomizer - connect it again when you are ready. Unlock and vape

If you want to vape with a different atomizer (or with the same atomizer in witch you changed the coil), let Proteus lock by itself - connect the new atomizer - unlock - wait until orange light turns on (after 25 sec-1 min, depending of how cold or hot the atomizer is) and vape.

I can't wait to vape with a Proteus, it looks fascinating.

Being very very picky, the only thing I wish that was different is the negative adjustable pin, it would be great if it had some way to be adjusted without taking out the bottom cap, or with an automatic adjusting system, like the one on Esterigon, but I understand it is not possible due the sensitivity of VIR :(

Very clear and simple. Good alternative to displays, which sometimes show to much

thank you Blue. I think that menu is so simple, that after 1-2 days of use it will be part of yourself. I will make a video showing how easy you go up and down even if you keep Proteus in mouth

Imeo can I ask something?
1- What is the current that goes through the button. Is it small like few milli amps?
2- you said there are 4 contact points? I know there is the button, the + of atty and the + of battery. What is the 4th?

1. as you said, only a few mili amps aal.
2. in fact, there are 5 contact points: battery-atomizer-button-2 negative contacts

VIR is really sensitive Ariel. But all electronics in general dont really work with springs. If you see an electronic mod that uses springs, stay away from it. The power loss is so huge that your battery may last the half of the time it had to last
