You are right Lo Zio. And I dont see any reduce of the length in reality. GG4S for example is at 77mm in height, takes a 18650 inside and a Tilemahos on top. What I see is a fat mod without a reasonYes, of course it's all about taste but also bout opportunity - sometimes I cannot really walk around with a big mod, that's a no go. And at the moment I use a provari mini with penelope V4 on top, not really huge stuff, but it makes more than an eyebrow raise. Something like Penelope + Proteus wouldn't or would less, at least.
Of course I'm not expecting the same battery life as the vaporhsark mentioned above, nor I'm hoping to push 100 W and go for cloud chasing; it's something different.
Still, the aesthetics of box+atom hurts me, I can't do anything about it.
I mean, I saw this:
And ... it's ok, I guess. It's shorter than a tube, yes, at the same time it's wider, so I don't really have the feeling of saving space.
But I see people walking around with stuff like this:

This combo is not overly tall.
Also shows why I'd prefer a slightly taller tank for my Tilemahos.
Another plus for a fat mod, it's easier to hold when getting on in years - like me[emoji37]

Guys tube and box are both ergonomic. You cannot say something is not comfortable until you try it and see how you hold it.
A tube is ergonomic for a fingers hold.
A box is ergonomic for a whole hand hold.
Try to hold a tube in your hand by setting it in your Palm and it is painful and uncomfortable. Try to hold a box with fingers and it is painful and uncomfortable.
We should remove the idea of comfort from our heads because there are really ergonomic shapes of boxes (round on the edges etc...) that really fit your hand like a piece of puzzle and there are other shapes that can be comfortable as well.
Regarding height a box will always be shorter IF it has a bottle/atomizer inside it or dual batteries or an electronic chip. If I need those things I would always go with a box (remember a box is not a square, it is anything not classified as tube)

)I agree again Lo Zio. Keeping a box in hand is not what I would like to do for my vaping. What I like most is a tiny 18650 mod like GG4S with a small atomizer on it like Tilemahos with serious capacity. And thats what I always vape. Of course I would prefer a side button GG but it will be bigger. Except we find a way for a side button GG at the length of GG4S. That would be really something!

Hi guys, FYI I used a temperature control device with penelope V1. I used NI200 wire and silver for NR. Worked fine. You just need to keep in mind to put the temperature a little bit below what it should. With Ti wire it will be better for sure because it is higher resistance.

Aal, be sure that NR-R-NR wire works better than bare wire. No hot spots, that is the most important on TC devices.
Maybe not a lot of people have understand the purpose of TC devices and unfortunately TC devices havent reached their purpose, that is to prevent the burn taste. If a new device cant do that, its simply another electronic device. And that was my only purpose when I started making VIR 4 years ago.
But TC devices arent good right now because of many reasons, but the most important is that they try to control uncontrollable wires (wires with legs). To my opinion, the only solution that will solve at least this issue, is springomizer. And of course a device that doesnt simply keep temp at a specific level. Then we would have made the perfect vaping device. Because we have to keep our health in perfect condition. That is the purpose of e-cigs.
Nothing else matters.

it seems to be some time since we heard any news about proteus, I hope this dos'nt mean we have given up on it.by the way imeo will there be a springormizer for the penny, for me this has been a perfect invention.

Glad to see that there might be hope for those of us holding Pennies and still waiting for Proteus. Still smoking analogs and hoping that Imeo will come through.
