The thing that really put me off the Futura, besides the lack of feedback from the company at a critical time, is how freekin long the thing is, in 18650 mode its like a full inch longer then the Provari/XPV.

Also I have always kind of preferred box mods.

To me the XPV is the perfect blend, it is kind of like a "box tube" mod heh.

Well I didn't have to plow snow so I was up and down all night. Really enjoying the XPV. I emailed Protovapor with my praise and also commented about not getting a spacer clip. They said that they would mail me one if I want and that they generally only send them if interest is expressed in removing the clip during ordering. Just like you said Jameth.

This thing feels great.

Just put in an order for the mini so my full size XPV will have a little brother. Looking forward to getting it; not looking forward to getting the credit card bill. The whole 'vaping will be cheaper than smoking' theory went out the window a long time ago for me...

Same here, I look at the figure in my success banner everyday and get a chuckle.

At least we are having more fun while we are spending the cash.

Have kept a running total since I started vaping nearly 2 years ago and and now firmly in the black ... and have some nice toys but it took a long while lol

Think I am going to be taking some sandpaper to the 510 this weekend to get atty's flush. Don't use anything that feeds air through the 510 so not going to impact. May have a look at counter sinking the screws a little as well but that depends on how the 91% sits on there after taking down the 510.

Been vaping on it for just over 3 hours the 91% with a 1.2 ohm coil @ 13.5 watts and still going which a mech wouldn't be able to match for consistency. Suspect it will get me into hour 4 which is about right for a 18350.

Back to the Futura...size really doesn't bother me much. The 510 on the production model delivered to my mate was..well atrocious. He messed up an Aqua connection trying to get it to fire. For something at that price point....not good.

Think I am done waffling...nope not yet lol

Loving the pass through and charging ability of the DNA. That makes this device it seems an all day driver for me. Be interested to see how my usage changes once I get the other DNA that has a 2400 mAh battery.

Ok finished boring you now !

So 4.5 hours before I needed to charge.

Can happily live with that given the charging options.

Thanks for the info. That's a bit better than what I get with a Provari in 18350 mode, so the mini should work out well for me. Now comes the hard part -- waiting for it.

Confession time I got the XPV as I wanted a Picolibri Lampornis for a KayFun but couldn't quite swallow the price point without having tried a DNA.

Now I have the XPR and another on the way, both together were less than the Lampornis I wanted lol, think I will stick with these.

Kinda tempted by the DNA Shark as it is so tiny but will see in the New Year I am thinking.

I'm having a little hard time following this, but I think your saying your adding a full size XPV to go along side your mini?

If so, congrats!

As far as a stealth DNA, yea it doesn't get much more stealthy then the Shark, and the cell in it claims 1200 MAH.

Also I want to see pictures of your ground down 510, and what it looks like with something attached!

Had a chuckle when I saw in a later post that you're debating between a mini XPV and a Vapor Shark -- that's been running through my head as well. Then again, the ZNA is supposed to be out at the end of the month....

I hadn't heard much about the ZNA, but saw PBsuardo's video interview of the guy with the prototype, and that is pretty damn slick looking.

But without USB charging of the cell while in the mod, it's a no go for me for sure, I just can't live without the convenience of keeping my mod topped off while by a computer.

The ZNA prototype did look pretty slick in the video, but since I just paid the invoice today for an XPV mini to go along with my full-size XPV, the vape budget is shot for a while.

Got the gray with black accents, ego connector, dark gray clicky button and pocket clip. Should look nice next to its bigger XPV brother, which continues to perform like a champ.

Update: Shipping notice this AM; Psyched  Is everyone still happy with theirs so far? Ordered a Russian 91% as a topper for it from zcig-online.de one of the few places that actually had any in-stock.

Congrats!

Loving mine just as much, or maybe more then when I first got it!

Seriously contemplating a second one....

Told you all you would not be disappointed. Been running mine for a while now and it has become my go to machine. This is from someone who owns a ProVari and a VV Reo. Fixed the gap problem I mentioned at the beginning of this thread with a nylon washer. The ohm reading changing by one tenth of an ohm every now and then is a weird thing it does. Have come to the conclusion that as a end user that is not incorporating it into a faster than light warp engine it really does not make a hill of beans difference if it changes or not. One tenth of an ohm is not going to affect much. Thinking about buying another in silver with a clip and flush connector.
