You might be right. I am positive that I saw a post stating that the low battery alert could be turned off but also changed from 17% to 1, 5, 10, 15%. But the below from ProVape doesn't mention anything other than on/off. Weird.

P3 Software Update V39 Now available.
We recommend that all P3 devices upgrade to the latest version.

This release has the following improvement:
Battery management improvements and bug fixes.
Profile memory loss after battery removal fixed. Some users reported losing their settings when removing the battery.
Low Battery Alert On/Off option added.
Maybe it was from an earlier update?

I remember when they added the 17% feature. It drove everyone nuts. Then they gave them the option to turn it off but I don't remember anything about being able to adjust the timing of the alert. It's either 17% or nothing. Personally, I vape until it doesn't vape anymore then i change the battery (unless I go out and plan to be gone a while in which case I will put a fresh battery in before I leave).

Same here.

I don't mind the alert on my 2.5, but on the P3, I can visually see when the battery is getting low and I swap it out. Same with my Classic.

I'm pretty positive you can turn it on and off. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Hey all!!!

Would any of you highly skilled Internet-types be able (and willing) to create an index of the questions asked on this thread?
That way folks won't have to read through pages and pages of info to see if their questions have been asked!
I'd do it myself, as host of this info/edu thread, but sadly I only access ECF via TapaTalk...and that limits my interaction with the thread.
Thanks to whoever can pull this off!

I'm trying to work this out on Google sheets. I'm not all that good at this, but will be trying over the next few days to see if I can get it under control. LOL!

I lived my youth in the 60's and 70's. I've had enough flashing lights in my life.

Oops, am I off topic here?
I am worried about the flashing light triggering a flashback. ;)

The red light on my 2.5 is crazy bright though. The P3 isn't even in the same league.

Where I was going with this was that my 2.5's LED is insanely bright. I read thru the manual and it seems that there is no brightness setting, only "off" (stealth mode), am a missing something or is the 2.5 firing button only "insanely bright" or in "stealth mode"? I would love to be able to dim it without screwing around with darkening the button or swapping a bulb.

Regarding the P3 battery warning change from the latest update.

Bringing this post in from another thread:

Got my P3's updated to 20!

I took the scenic route up and down a windy road through the hills of the Santa Monica Mountains and then a lovely drive by the ocean to this new to me store that does the service. Not a bad way to spend a couple hours or so on a Saturday afternoon.

To my surprise, it's not just a turn on or off for the blinking light. One can pick off, 1, 5, 10, 20 -- and I'm assuming that is for % of battery remaining.

I'm curious about the potential for more efficient use of battery that has been mentioned by others. Sound great to me.

Maybe @tearose50 can clarify?

-Toggle the lighted LED button between full, dim, and off

Version 39

Set - Dis (display) - Time - Off 1 5 10 20

ProVape says on the update page "On/Off Option Added".

Apparently the only choice at this point is Off or On....as I did not get a flash last evening with the option 5 set. It most certainly did not yellow blink at 17% and red blinked when I tried to vape with EMPTY.

So sorry for posting my assumption about the choices, before confirming they worked first. Can I get away with just posting wishful thinking? ( BTW, I edited the earlier post, too)

I'm hoping those numbers were put there for some future use? Or maybe they are something else no one has discovered and posted yet?

The Numbers represent the duration with which the display will remain lit after a fire button press.

Here's a link to Provape's comprehensive Comparison Chart for the feature sets of the Radius, P3, and Classic 2015 devices:http://www.provape.com/v/pdf/comparisonchart.pdf

Here's some old info where Provape listed the Power specs of the ProVari,
Version 1 and Version 2, version 2.5 had cosmetic changes only, so it has identical performance to the V2. :http://www.provape.com/v/images/ProVariV1vsV2.pdf

* The ProVari "Classic 2015" has a 4.5 Amp limit.
* The ProVari P3 has a 6.5 Amp limit.
* The ProVari Radius has a 9.5 Amp limit.

* These are to the best of my knowledge at this time.

The P3 display has several brightness levels. My P2 has one setting and I assume the P2.5 has only one setting as well.

Those numbers are on Ver 38 as well, those are the times that the OLED will stay lit after a button press, they have nothing to do with the low battery button flash. I should have caught this earlier. Thanks for coming back and helping to clear this up tearose :)
