Well I said I'd check in after the weekend. The Provari is working flawlessly with the Tank Mod 2.8 which is now registering on the Provari as 3.0ohm. I raised the Nicotine to around 40 and lowered the voltage to 3.8 and it is perfection.
The Tank Mod is not leaking at all into the Provari. The vapor is thick and the throat hit strong. I definitely found a sweet spot for vaping. The Tank E2 is vaping like a 801 not a 510 which I like.

By the way Candre23 with a 2800mah battery I'm easily getting 8 hours of vaping but I decided to keep my batteries from being damaged. When the voltage goes down to 3.5v I just switch out for another battery.
Doing the math If you are getting 6 hours out of a 1600mah battery than
(6 / 1 600) * 2 800 = 10.5hrs you would get 10.5 hours out of a 2800mah battery. No difference in size or weight.

I also ordered a map tank which I received last week. I ordered the 3.2, but it's now registering at 2.8. I'm not sure what's up with that, but I'm still very pleased with it. I'm currently vaping at 4.5 volts and getting great flavor and vapor. I don't really feel like I'm going through more juice with this. When I use cartos with the provari it seemed like I am constantly having to top them off.

"only" a week is only indicative of the date... depends on how much juice it's vaporized. For heavy duty vaping, a week can sometimes be all she wrote.
I don't get that you are vaping 6ml or more a day but backups are always necessary.

lol, I certainly hope it's not a sign of coming demise....I've only had it about a week. But I'm thinking I need to order some replacement parts asap.

Tomz,
Thanks for the great review. I started out with a 510 and quickly moved up to an Ego about 6 months ago. I've started having an issue with my Ego and Riva batteries (the center plug is pushing further down into the batteries housing making contact with the atty a real hit and miss...frustrating). Rather than continuing with replacing Ego batteries I'm ready to pull the trigger on an upgrade. The "vari" is a bit expensive but since I'm no longer buying cartons of smokes I can afford the upgrade.
I'm going with your recommendation on the SoShine batteries and charger, being able to vape all day on one battery (for the most part) was the reason I went with the Ego over the 510.

I turned a former smoker friend of mine onto vaping a few months back ansd when I saw him again a few weeks ago he had already taken the mod plunge. I tried his rig out and it was so much better than vaping with the Ego. A warm flavorful vape with tons a production, as opposed to what I was getting from the Ego (strong flavor and vapor with a fresh battery, but quickly deminishing output after an hour or so).

Thanks again.. you sold me on the Provari.

Just checking back in on the thread, I'm at 2 months with the Provari and it's going strong. I've dropped it umpteen million times. Works just as good as the day I bought it.

I've standardized on the Map E2 Tank. It just works perfectly with this unit and gives me that full flavor that I like. More
like vaping a 801 than a 510.

Other day my Provari stopped working and it was so refreshing. 1st tested battery it showed OK. Than Atomizer, Sure enough an error came up and I changed atomizers and was off and running.

Just checking in after owning it for 3 months. The Provari is built like a tank. I don't know what they coated it with. But I keep it in my pocket with keys etc. And I've dropped it umpteen times on the carpet and hit the wood desk and there is not a scratchon it. It looks like it's brand new and works like the day I bought it.

Any doubts I originally had about longevity of the unit have been put to rest. This unit is solid.
Button presses like it's brand new. Due to the cartridges that I've used, I know that the button has
been oily and exposed to liquid but it's rock solid.

It's probably redundant but I can't state enough the convenience of being able to check whether the battery
is bad or the Atomizer has gone bad. No guess work anymore.

The first thing I do when I put in a new Atty is check the OHM, than I adjust the voltage of the unit before I even
inhale for the first time and sure enough it's perfect.

While I can't say that this unit is the best on the market because I haven't tried anything else, or felt the need
to try anything else since I bought it. But I can say that it is well worth the money and it won't dissapoint.

Rottwyler, i believe the battery life gets better after a few cycles on the charger. How much did you vape in those 8.5 hours?

I started on the way to work and pretty much didn't give it a break until lunch....AND I was using SMoketech L/R Cartomizers (I know I know...) but it's more convenient. I drip at home though....I must have gone through about 5 cartos...
